Your college buddy, 2 days after his grub screw.Had a buddy who had a couple grub screws in college - Giggity giggity - alriiiight!! #wingman
You missed that comment opportunity, @Optimus![]()
You'd need one switch for each sail panel to disable the ditch lights while keeping the dim oem spotlights on.Will an on/off switch on the driver's side panel trip 12v going to both mirrors?
Now you are just torturing us!
'23 and up doesn't have the separate spotlight module anymore, it's done via the DDM and PDM (driver/passenger door module(s)). No one has figured out how to get them to stay on at speed yet.Surprised to learn Limitless harness for mirror spots at speed is for MY 20-22 SD only and Rich states it will not work for 23+. I'm OK with DIY if anyone can confirm this mod works on 23/24 rigs? Using BroncOh's kit at speed is a must have for me.
BMC Lights posted on FB that they are working on an override... see below. I'll update this thread if I see any developments:'23 and up doesn't have the separate spotlight module anymore, it's done via the DDM and PDM (driver/passenger door module(s)). I have a module coming from Ford tomorrow to verify the mosfets didn’t change and can still handle the current.BMC Lights posted on FB that they are working on an override... see below. I'll update this thread if I see any developments:
BMC it’s not as simple as in the 17-22, the 17-22 was able to be bypassed with a pigtail harness.
The 23+ is actually controlled by the window motors in each door.
It will need an override module for each motor.
We ( BMC Lights ) are done with the prototypes and are working on mass production now.
Update: I received the module and have some unpleasant news for ‘23 and up. Ford did away with a dedicated Mosfet, and all the current is now routed through a chipset directly now, which may shutdown if the current drawn is more than what it expects.I have a module coming from Ford tomorrow to verify the mosfets didn’t change and can still handle the current.
On my way BroncOh, just left Seattle....Update: I received the module and have some unpleasant news for ‘23 and up. Ford did away with a dedicated Mosfet, and all the current is now routed through a chipset directly now, which may shutdown if the current drawn is more than what it expects.
The only way for me to test if this would work is if someone with a ‘23 and up truck PMs me and swings by my place and we can test this (happy to meet you too). A relay ‘could’ work, but even the extra draw of a relay may be enough for the module to go into an alarm state.
I’m in the Detroit metro area. Will pay $200 to first person with a ‘23 and up who wants to let me test. Thank you!
I know that running a wire and ground into the door isn’t the hardest thing in the world, but definitely not a plug and play deal. Door panel would need popped off and I’ll try to find a video of running wires through the door boot.On my way BroncOh, just left Seattle....
Just spitballing here: Is there any reasonable way to get at the S2 wiring harnesses behind the sail panel or down behind the dash for a direct wire? I'd be happy running those lights w/ your mirror mount off an upfitter switch. I wouldn't get all fruits of your hard labor, but I'd settle for 2nd place.
You better hope it works or you're gonna have to return most of the TOTM votes!Update: I received the module and have some unpleasant news for ‘23 and up. Appreciate you digging that up. Not expecting anything near plug and play, but that video was a little soberingFound this video:

I think I'll hold off for now and see if you or BMC Lights can come up with anything else. At least I know worst case.
There has to be somebody at where you work that will allow you to test this. If not, put in your two weeks! If someone can bring a truck to me I can test to see if the module shuts down.
