I have dual BANKS iDash gauges on my driverside A pillar. I have had them for several months now. Extremely satisfied with their capabilities. I also have the pedal monster. Recently they were instrumental in diagnosis of check engine light, specifically P2209, nox sensor one. With the idash I was able to read the code and clear it. It also enabled me the ability to monitor nox sensor one & two. Nox 1 is located before the PDF and nox 2 is after the PDF. Simply, nox 1 was not populating which confirmed it was most likely the issue. After consulting with @HeavyAssault and my Ford dealer nox 1 sensor was replaced.

I am curious about others who have an idash, what parameters are you monitoring, and what do you feel is important with a 6.7?

Also does anyone have a complete parameters list including explanations?

Thank you!

Here are mine for anyone interested. Also you can set each of those iDash's screens up with multiple screens that are accessed by holding down the left arrow so you can switch back and forth. These things are amazing!

Liking this thread. I just purchased the pedal monster and single iDash with A-Pillar mount.

Question for those of you with two, do you ever think you really only needed one?

For those with one, wish you had a second?

I started with one, got the second and never looked back!! If you have a diesel you can have all the parameters you want always in your face!

As did I, I had one with the suction cup mount and loved the iDash but hated the mount. With the encouragement of @Lunch Box to add a second and the double pod pillar mount becoming available, I pulled the trigger and absolutely love it. It is very customizable and will show anything you want.

What do you do with the numbers? Anything actionable?

Yes for me, I keep up with my soot amount and DPF % to know how far away regen is. It also lets me know when regen is happening so I know not to turn off truck and then watch my 1st and last last exhaust temps so I know when truck has recovered.

Others are monitoring at a glance, oil life %, battery voltage, mass air flow, boost, fuel rail pressure, etc.

I also love being able to adjust the pedal monster on the fly

Only for the beholder. There's so many PIDs it's a tad overwhelming. One decides what's important to them, then has comfort in the knowledge that is on the display.
As @Lunch Box stated we talked back and forth a bit about his situation where we both learned what was going on.
His experience is a direct example as to what benefit can be had using these types of devices.

For most folks out of sight, out of mind. But I really like to know what's going in with most important part of my Tremor. Fuel rail pressure is an important one, exhaust gas temperature, PDF soot level, regen on and off, regen percentage, I could go on and on. Also able to adjust my pedal monster quickly and easily.

I wouldn't even know what normal values are for those things and what to do about it. Is this mainly for towing? I've driven diesels for years and the trucks always work and I never thought I needed to know about these things.

Some of us were raised by wolves. 😜 😜
I think it just comes with the newer generations of vehicles. I can say post-2006 is were I started feeling the need to see real world vehicle data elements.

What is regen and why is it bad to turn off the truck? Seems like if it mattered, Ford would have included a gauge or something.

I am still waiting for them to release the stealth pod for the '23+ trucks. I plan to get one once those are released.

Regen is a process the PDF/exhaust heats up to over 1000 degrees to burn off soot buildup. Once this process starts it takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. You will notice you will burn exponentially more fuel during a regen, and may notice a burning smell if you stop or slow down. Its not detrimental if you turn the truck off during a regen, it just won't complete the process. A lot of people prefer not to interrupt the regen, but sometimes it can't be avoided.

Sure no problem, it is exactly what @Lunch Box said (except it is DPF, Diesel Particulate Filter, not PDF, simple typo) and it is specific for diesel engines these days with all the EPA regulations. If you have the 7.3 gas engine, you don't have to mess with this.

I’ve noticed my idash DPF percentage never drops below ~28, even after just completing a regen. Also notice it is ahead of the gauge cluster (cluster is at 90, gauge at 100%).

Anyone else get this?

Also monitor boost, rail pressure, back pressure, regen status (act/off), and oil temp FWIW.

Yes, I've experienced some similar numbers. Also the dash will count down, the idash normally does not. But then it will suddenly go to mid twenties. But regen status is only on for 20 plus or minus a minute.

Mine behaves the exact same way. Cluster always behind the gauge. Glad to know I am not the only one.
