BANKS iDash/6.7, WHAT PARAMETERS ARE YOU MONITORING?

I just installed an Idash in my '24.
What is the DPF RG and how does it compare to the DPF SL?
I don't have the DPF SL available in my parameters.

DPF SL is an emissions parameter regarding soot level percentage in the particulate filter.
DPF RG is also an emissions parameter but I’m not sure what the “RG” represents.
That is my question. The older trucks have the DPF SL parameter but my 24 doesn’t seem to have it in the system.

Isn't there a diesel page or menu on the dash now that shows a bunch of stuff for the diesel motors?>?

Figured it out
When I set the IDash up I only set up for a 6.7l engine.
I should have set it up for a 6.7l Ford…..my bad.
I now get the DPF SL parameter.
I can usually still figure stuff out on my own….Given enough time

I'm in for the single stealth pod, and think it's just enough. If I want to see more PIDS, I can change the page. The Wife pokes fun at me sufficiently with just the one pod

Also, I am wondering why the % is off from the clusters filter %. I see the EG temp has a minimum range for reading, but that wouldn't make sense for the DPF. Unless the cluster gauge is just guessing for some reason?

On my 2022 I tend to get to 50-65% DPF before I let the Active Regen start (497.1 miles or more). When running on the HWY with the Active Regen going the DPF will read 0% in about 10 minutes, my Edge CTS3 will still have a double digit (20% or less) DPF % reading. During the last 10 minutes of the Active Regen that CTS3 reading drops to single digits, ending with a reading around 5-7+/-% DPF. This is my normal reference point for this activity.

My thoughts are either the Ford OEM reading is just being generous, or the Edge CTS3 is more accurate with all the other inputs it's read. Which would mean either way that value is calculated inside the PCM and CTS3 with whatever algorithm is applied. Maybe Edge is reading additional sensors?? Maybe the Ford reading is the honest truth. I've watched this happen over and over again on my truck. Do I really worry about it....nah. I only follow it as to know that it hasn't changed from the historical past experiences.

Im typically between 25-30% on SL, 100% for DPF RG (seems obvious).

Yesterday I finally took the time to set the idash up outside of my initial use of reading diagnostics and basic info.

I noticed that when I went into a regen (Regen On) that after my truck showed 0% on the filter, it stayed regen on for about another 3-4min.

I have always monitored regen by seeing the temps go up and the filter percentage starting to decrease, and would drive around until 0%. Then I would shut off the truck when I got to my stopping spot. Sometimes shutting off within a minute of seeing the filter go to 0%.

I have now also setup alerts for the regen to keep a closer eye on things

Very helpful thread. My dual iDash is on the way from Banks. Looking forward to setting it up. My main use will be monitoring regens and distance between them. Archoil says by using their products it will extend the time between regens, we shall see.

Archoil didn't show any change in my experience. I stopped bothering with that snake oil. And yes, I monitor it with an iDash.

Figured it out

I have the ford set for vehicle and 6.7L for the engine and I still can’t gate the DPF SL pod to be selectable. Any ideas?

That's an awesome mount. I ended up doing the inside vent mount. I would have done that one, but I already have my Carli/SDi gauge there.

Has anyone installed an oil pressure sending unit that is connected to their iDash ? Would you provide some installation details ?

Also, for those with a 6.7 and towing, what parameters are you monitoring ?
