The "AIT -Air Intake Temperature" can also be measured with the "CAC - Charge Air Cooler"

AIT (IAT) is reading off the dual purpose MAF sensor at the air intake filter. CAC is post-intercooler temps (additionally post-turbo) since the secondary coolant system provides the primary cooling/heating effect it's usually 10-20* over ambient air.

IAT at the MAF is useful for those who are SOOOO scared of the intake sucking in hot under hood air.
