Tremor Payload??

Hi All,

I just received my F350 King Ranch Tremor 6.7 L and i noticed my payload sticker showing only 1,764 lbs. This seems off as i read on the previous thread that was closed that you guys with F350 Platinum Tremors have payload numbers in the 3,000's. What is the reason for this? When i build the truck online to double check once you add the Tremor package it immediately downgrades to the 9,900 GVWR package. Any insight here would be great.
heres my 250 6.7
strange obviously that sticker is not correct

My F350 Tremor with 6.7 has GVWR reduction line item on the window sticker for $0.00 It’s just a paperwork/sticker thing to make licensing cheaper for states that charge more for heavier rates vehicles. The dealer told me the truck is mechanically the same as one that doesn’t have the reduction. My payload sticker is 1837 pounds. My 2014 F150 is 1440 pounds. I find it hard to believe my F350 can ONLY haul 397 pounds more than my F150.

My real question is there anything mechanically different between a non tremor and a tremor? What actually limits the towing capacity when the tremor package is applied? Are the springs different? I’ve heard people say the sway bar is smaller or don’t have one in the rear? Is it tire size? Leveling/lift kit? Does anyone actually know?

The super duty brochure said the tremor packaged added tires, wheels, shocks, electric locker, front limited slip, skid plates and stickers.I don’t recall it saying “lighter suspension”?

Also, how do I start a new thread? I’m on iPhone webrowser.
thank you

Read above in this thread to see why. It makes no sense that the payload would be so low unless some odd ordering or order timing played a part. My f250 XLT 7.3 TREMOR has payload of 3114lbs. So yeah, it's just the sticker that is the limitation apparently from what I'm understanding.

For those of you with the 7.3 F350 with the reduce payload, does it come with the m275 rear end or with the Sterling.

I'm just wondering if it truly is exactly the same.

My truck is derated due to licensing and it’s the M275.

What package should we order. What would be the GVWR without a package ordered. How does one get the highest payload with the 7.3?
The GVWR options should not be selected since the GVWR options available are downgrades to the maximum 11,300 GVWR in a gasser F350 Tremor. In a Tremor get the F350 XLT with no options to get the highest payload rating. As you step up in options your payload will go down. For example before ordering I found a F350 Tremor XLT 7.3L with a payload of 4036lbs and it had the XLT premium package and not much else. My Lariat, Value, Sport, with tailgate step and goose/5er prep payload is down to 3826. Most options over the base XLT are going to reduce payload sticker #.

I concur! My truck is the #11,300. When I was going through the online ordering it took me a bit to figure out what all those options were. Just don't select them to keep the GVWR up. My payload sticker was #3975, and I have the 7.3 XLT and winch, dual batteries, mud flaps, hood protector

Does the payload on the sticker go down if you have the winch from factory? I would think yes but I am not interested if ford accounts for that extra weight or not

I assume so. In my case they must be accounting for about #225 total for the entire winch package. Dual batteries are also required. I say this as my #11,300 GVWR - #7100= #4200 and yet my sticker says payload of #3975

A winch does weight a total of 225 lbs but with the extra battery and alternator you would be close to that... So interesting to see that it might

2020 F350 7.3 CCSB Lariat, Ultimate, Sport, Tremor, sunroof

Payload of 3686.

This will give me just over 2000 pounds more than my F150 I traded for it at 1672. We maxed out payload with passengers and tongue weight and I sure as hell better not be hauling 2000 pounds of extra crap camping :)

I thought that as well but my wife figured out what new and heavy things to bring to eat up the extra payload.

My guess is they don't include the winch because it doesn't ship connected to the truck. Just a guess though since my numbers are similar and I have the #11,300 GVWR with 7.3 Lariat Ultimate Sport, Dual batteries, no Sunroof and no winch, but payload is #214 less than yours for a total of #439 under the estimate.

Our set up seems similar, but I have the roof and they only knocked off about 80 pounds.

After reading all these posts, how do you determine what the payload tag will be BEFORE ordering a truck? I'm trying to build a 350 Tremor for use with a truck camper. When trying to build the truck on Fords online site, if the #11,400 option is selected, it will delete the Tremor package! So if I select none of those options, how do I know what the GVWR is?

When i went to buy my F350 the sales person stated if you want the maximum payload you need to strip back your options. I wanted the max payload so I would not be limited when I purchase a slide in camper. My truck is not a tremor but still has all the the options I need plus the desired payload.

So you have no winch and no dual batteries?

Correct, no winch but my camper has dual batteries. I haul a slide-in camper and tow a 4000lb boat, not really off road use. I do haul over logging roads which my truck handles with ease fully loaded. I guess you could install a winch after market which would not effect your factory payload?

It appears it doesn't affect it now, my guess being that it doesn't get installed at the factory so wouldn't be included when they do the final weight payload calcs.
