No secret places on this trip.... That pic was taken on the Tongue river outside of Sheridan, WY. We ultimately ended up in Bozeman, MT. I was there for a week-long bamboo fly rod building class (at Tom Morgan Rodsmiths). I didn't get to fish a ton, but my brother-in-law fished all week and slayed them. It was so warm most of the area waters were closed. He fished the Gallatin mostly. If you want to talk secret places, we're gonna have to DM about Colorado!

Nice rod. When I was in college I was building my own fly rods too. Not bamboo just regular graphite rods. I could build a GLoomis rod for about $100 instead of $500 rod at the store.

I pulled out an old 4 wt I made 20+ years ago for my recent trip to Yellowstone.

Opening weekend here in Colorado, for Muzzleloader. Spent the majority of it glassing from the truck. Cool part, I was able to get back in some spot other trucks were having trouble accessing which was to my advantage.

That's funny. I had a blue and grey truck with a blue and grey boat. Then bought a red truck to replace the blue and grey; one day on the water with family and my wife says: you need a bigger boat! So, I got a red and white boat. Now I've replaced the red truck with the Stone Grey Tremor... Maybe I need a new boat now??

I’m sure it’s some sort of a law that you have to upgrade your toys or tools when it’s your wife’s idea. Looks like it’s time to start looking.
