Um...lakes have tides?
Some lakes do... Check out the great lakes.
True tides—changes in water level caused by the gravitational forces of the sun and moon—do occur in a semi-diurnal (twice daily) pattern on the Great Lakes. Studies indicate that the Great Lakes spring tide, the largest tides caused by the combined forces of the sun and moon, is less than five centimeters in height.

Truman is controlled by the Army Corps of Engineers; fluctuations by controlling the dam flows. I'm sure that's what @Donnie With A Dee was referring.
Human actions and management influence Truman Lake’s depth significantly as well. The Truman Dam, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, plays a decisive role. This body controls the inflow and outflow of water from the lake, adjusting it based on various factors such as anticipated rainfall, flood control needs, and maintenance schedules. Therefore, operations of the dam directly shape Truman Lake’s depths at different times.

Went mountain camping in the winter in a tent. -7 deg f with 35+mph wind because my wife had not camped in cold conditions and wanted to try it lol. Overall had a great time and pretending to be a snowman was fun.

It'd be a cold day in hell before you catch me doing that 😉

Um...lakes have tides?
In case this was a serious question, no, this lake doesn't have tides. Recent rains had raised the normal pool level. The place where I was driving was usually a dry creek bed.
