What’s in your gun safe?

Seriously though in today’s market everyone wants a semi auto that holds 15-21 rounds not a wheel gun that holds 6-8 rounds and is slow to reload. I was raised on wheel guns and they are just a blast to shoot. Will have to go thru the vault and pull them out and post a pic I have a bunch. Just picked up a S&W 686 357 mag looks new for a 1986 production date yesterday and a Ruger GP100 7 shot 357 a couple weeks ago.
I prefer revolvers. Makes it far easier to police your brass shoulder things go questionably sideways from a legal standpoint.
Just sayin….

... Elmer Keith referred to the then-new Super Blackhawk when it was introduced in the very late 1950s as "the finest sixgun ever made" and this was from a man who owned a lot of Colt Peacemakers.
I think gun writers wouldn't say shit if their mouth was full of it. Elmer made essentially the same comment about three different wheel guns. IMO Ruger has been a value line of guns.

Not picking on you at all Apples.

^ ^ ^ Understood. (y)

At the particular time, though, there was no more stout single action than the Super Blackhawk. "Ruger Only" loads ring a bell?

Gun writers, automotive writers, etc... they're all usually pitching something, sure. And today we have so many superior examples of a sixgun. Freedom Arms, Jack Huntington, et al all create near perfection.

It's been awhile since I've surveyed the landscape, there. I am content with my humble array of tools and loading gear. Looking forward to getting back to my loading bench, actually.
