What size drop?

I have not uses bulletproof pins but all I use are locking pins and never had an issue with WD bending them
I don’t think the lock causes any issue with the weight distribution. It just happens to be the case that BulletProof uses a softer metal (stainless steel) on their locking pin. Since it’s not as strong of a metal, the extra force from WDH spring bars may bend the pin. I’ve seen this happen with other pins as well.
I did just get off the phone with BulletProof and they said it’s no problem using the locking pin on the hitch bar/shank. They said it’s only necessary to use the standard pin on the 2 spots that attach the WDH adapter to the hitch bar. They recommended that if you are worried about theft after unhooking the trailer then to just swap one of the regular pins on the adapter for a locking pin just while unhooked.

Pretty sure I’m set on the drop... imma go with the 6”. I’ve measured every way from Sunday and that’s not a question and works for my needs.

Wondering what the hitch opinions are and your opinions... I’ve been looking at this hitch... interesting enough... it’s a 6” drop w/ 4 positions. One at shank level, two below and one above (see photo).
I also like the pintle lock option.

Includes: Pintle Lock and Dual Ball Mount (2″ & 2 5/16″ Ball)
3″ Shank, 6″ Drop, 32,000 lbs. Towing Capacity, 3,500 lbs. Tongue Weight

I just ordered a 6" Bulletproof. I'm slightly worried I should have gone with the 8" but when measuring my smallest trailer (16' tandem utility) the 6" should be just right. I'll report if I should have gone with 8".

Towed with mine for the first time. 18’ aluminum car trailer. The weigh safe shows about 100 lb tongue weight and even at the lowest height setting the trailer is a little high on the front when empty. With the cars on it I’m sure I can move it up a bit. Satisfied with the 8” weighsafe.

The aluminum 3” hitch is the way to go, it’s so light.

This is what I was going to go with but ended up with the Bulletproof for the weight distribution adapter.

I’m hoping I don’t need it but I have an equalizer system in the garage on standby. Prefer to sell it.
