What size drop?

The Weigh Safe is clearly the premium unit. It's awfully hard on the wallet, though. LOL!

I have looked at pics of the B&W and the Bullet Proof like @legmar shows above. I'm probably gonna go Bullet Proof.
Don’t forget to factor in the weigh safe is aluminum and weighs nothing in comparison.

For the guys who have the B&W hitches..where did you get them? I feel like I'm going to have to order one since I need (please correct me if I'm wrong) 3" shank and 7" drop for diesel. But I cant even find any online.

I went with a B&W 7” adj. drop.. Works perfectly for me ??
I got this one as well with the 3 different ball sizes. Built really well. Get a lock for it and you are good.

My 7.3 F250 had a 2.5” receiver shank.
Do the diesels and F350s have a a 3”?

I got the 6” drop Bulletproof, but with my RV setup it’s all the way to the top.

What size drop are you guys useing. I purchased a 10in drop 3in weigh safe only bc they were on sale on amazon for 124$. I think it will be okay but worried might be to long.

Aluminum? Pfft....find one of these to use,
Remove 2 or 3 holes touch up on a belt sander and enjoy the savings.
I also bought an Amazon “open box” and it came with some unexpected extras. I selected the 8”

Depending on when it was manufactured there will be different weight ratings stamped on the drop hitch. Weigh safe told me they just increased the ratings but nothing changed about the design. Mine is stamped 14.5K MTW and the newest ones are stamped higher.

I’m pretty stoked. I ordered the same 8” drop and it arrives today! I also got the WDH adapter and am intrigued to see 1) how well it tows my 32’ TT and 2) if I can open my tailgate with the trailer attached.

FYI - DO NOT use the locking pins in the drop shank with the weight distribution setup. Ask me how I know.... Or just look at the pic below.

This was after MAYBE 15 miles of towing. To bulletproof's credit they do state not to use these pins for WD on their website, but it's not anywhere on the packaging of the pin it's self. Apparently using WD can put more torque on the pins then just regular towing. Also, they warrantied this one with no fuss. For what it's worth the other pins are heat treated and are not damaged after a several hundred mile tow with WD.

Otherwise I love my bulletproof hitch.

You should be ok with the 10 inch, they say you should have 11 inches of clearance when it’s loaded so you should have just enough clearance, I have the 8 inch weight safe and I love it and the fact you got it for 120 is insane so I would say you made the right decision. My dump trailer will put 1200 pounds on the tongue and my truck still doesn’t squat too much.

I have the 8” bulletproof. I’d say it’s just right. A 10” would be fine and give a bit more flexibility. Plus you’re ready for a lift.

Interesting that you posted this bc I just asked the company why you can’t use the locking pins. Here’s what they said...

I wonder if it’s safe to use a single locking pin on the hitch bar and then 2 regular pins on the WDH adapter.

I have not uses bulletproof pins but all I use are locking pins and never had an issue with WD bending them
