Man, that sucks. Maybe not post about the key in public as your insurance may change their mind about paying for it ...

Mine was stolen about a year ago. They came in my house while we were here asleep and grabbed my keys off the bar in our kitchen. It was only gone an hour and I was able to find where they stashed it with Ford Pass. Unfortunately, they weren't still with it. Needless to say, keys stay in bedroom with me and Sig at night now. They drove it through a barbed wire fence and did about $8,000 in damage. Now it also stays parked inside a fence at night too. I have one of those driveway alerts that dings a bell in the bedroom if anyone trips it so I can go introduce myself.

It’s easy to install a switch to disable the ignition, and there are many creative places to hide the switch. No combination of measures is foolproof, but thieves can’t afford to spend all night stealing the truck.
