Could keep it simple and use L track studs to secure whatever RAM ball plate you want to the L track (like this fishfinder mount). Just drill the holes as needed for the stud spacing. Two studs and this would be pretty solid. Then add in whatever length arm and tablet holder you want.

I have a magnetic paper towel holder and glued to magnetic plates to the ceiling above the sink. It's close enough to the fabric that the paper towels will not fall off when driving. I use a rubber band to secure the paper from unrolling. PS: That is my (standup desk) work setup from a few months ago. It looks different nowadays.

I remembered today that I owed pics of the ARB compressor install.

It is mounted directly adjacent to the second battery. The compressor is mounted to an aluminum plate that is mounted to three points. 1) A bracket that I welded up that bolts to an existing "clip nut" (I don't know what they are really called) located in the far front location up high on the plate. 2) A bolt I inserted through an existing grommet in the battery box that I have no idea what it's original intention was for. 3) A "square" U-bolt down low on the plate that fit perfectly on an existing location. Then a long hose routed to the rear passenger side where a 4 gallon tank is bolted to the back side of one of the flatbed boxes. Access is gained by opening up the rear flatbed drawer. The compressor is wired to one of the upfitter switches. Hopefully that all makes sense together with the pics.

Anyone out there have a good solution for mounting a Ram Ball (1.5") to an L-Track?

I got my Supertramp deckout with L-Track on both sides, on the ceiling, and in the Kitchenette and I'd love to be able to mount a C sized ball to the ceiling track to allow us to use the Ipad Pro as a TV on rainy days/ or if we get bored at night. I see RAM makes a cool QR Ball but it appears to be for T-Track not L-track.

Anyone have any good solutions? As I'd like to mount it up and leave it there all the time. I am thinking I can just buy a bolt that slides into L-track and than find a RAM ball with the appropriate sized hole and mount them together.

Alternatively I have a few of the Tough Claw mounts I use on my canoe gunnels that would work grabbing the actuators, I just have to be sure to remove them before closing. Thoughts??????

You could try reaching out to this guy to see what he did. Looks like his weBoost antennae is on a Ram Ball, which I assume is mounted to the factory OEV roof L track, as it doesn't look like he has the T track system that OEV also used. Might not be the case, but worth a shot.

I know this topic is really about freestanding units but for what it is worth, we went with the OEV step that stores in the front of the aluma tray. It is nicely done by OEV, but as good as it is, it doesn't quite meet my idea of the right solution. I had to modify it by cutting it down to three...

The options @Chadx shared could be made to work pretty easily too. One last thought would be a typical L track stud mount like the below, which just uses a flat head carriage bolt. Assuming you could find a course thread bolt to swap out to mate with this ram mount ball? Ram makes a C ball with female 1/4-20 as well, but I surprisingly couldn't find a 1/4-20 L track stud.

So what’s the come to? Without any tax added that’s about $148,250. I do have a GMRS radio not installed yet, a stubby antenna, ditch light brackets, i plan on having a set of BD lights across the front and matching ditch lights. Obviously if you add tax the number goes way up. I’d stay right now I have about $150k into it. It’s a lot, but its a hell of a lot of camper.

I disagree, wait till those Scheel-Mann seats are installed…. My pheasant truck is going to be so much nicer than any of those high grade POS’s. Plus with the camper installed I can’t use the tailgate. So what would be the point of the trampstamp if i can’t show it off.

That’s with a good bit over $10K in goodies (Carli Suspension, Baja Designs lights, bumper, DECKED, etc) into the truck as well.

I'm all in almost exactly $70K on my camper build. Thanks for making me feel a lot better about that!

Hopefully my wife never finds out we could have A/C that runs off of batteries. And while I totally understand why Starlink is so important for those of you working from the road (I would have killed for that when I use to work out my van on occasion). I now have no desire to be connected when on my trips so that saves another expense for me.
