Trucks and Campers, they go together like PB&J, like Big Blocks and gas stations, like bacon and…. Well everything. But more specifically Truck Campers. My wife and I have ten’s of thousands of miles traveling the country and have seen and camped at some of the most amazing places. The common theme no matter where we camp Truck Campers love other Truck Campers. Big or small there always seems to be common ground and people that have them, have them for a reason.

While we definitely have a large and interesting thread dedicated to Tremors and Camping I’d love for this one to be Truck Camper specific. That way we can discuss suspensions, tires, air pressures and various other Truck Camper specific things within the confines of one thread all about Truck Campers.

I’d also like to open this up to everyone with a truck camper. From the simpliest AluCab Alu-Cabin to the biggest Host Mammoth with triple slides and everything in between. I’d also like to really encourage photos so others can see your setup’s and the beautiful places they have taken you.

Obviously this thread is going to be Tremor-centric but all are welcome (providing it’s a truck camper)

Now let’s see what you’ve got!

My history with truck campers.

My first love! Go Fast Camper #41 on my Tacoma. This is where I first learned the merits of being able to stand up inside your camper…

My second love! Alu Cab Khaya also #41 this is where I learned about heat, indoor cooking and supreme comfort, at least in comparison to the GFC.

Thank you. I dumped far too much money into my lighting 😂

SDHQ Off Road A-Pillar mounts. Rock solid.
Good to know. I just ordered the SDHQ mounts they’re sitting on the table beside my truck waiting for install. Looking at it the hardest part seems to be reaching into the freaking truck to do the work.

Anyone here have any experience with the Supertramp camper? Would love to see what one of those look like on the new super duty.

@Chris-DTA where you at???

Mine will be on my truck in 30 days as well. @Chadx has a killer thread on Expo with tons of pics too.

It looks AMAZING!!!!

Awesome. Hopefully will be getting my own soon! I also drive a Tesla as secondary. People are confused by the combo, but its solid!
Exactly!!!!! People look at me strange for the same reasons. But in reality the Tesla is freaking amazing as a daily driver, fast quiet and fun. And since my charging at work is free, it’s very economical. In contrast at current gas prices here in NY driving the Tremor would cost me $20 per day, or an easy $500/mth. The Tesla costs me tire rotations…. The Tremor is amazing it’s probably the nicest truck I’ve ever owned for what I want to do with it, but as a Daily Driver…. Not so much lol!

Have you ordered a Supertramp yet? There is a very very new one for sale at a decent price on Expo and also someone selling their build spot so you could move up…. I ordered both my F350 and Supertramp in March, truck came in late July and the Camper is basically going to be ready early December.

Please feel free to ask any Supertramp questions or visit that thread on Expo. Also when the other guys tagged chime in you can have some first hand experience. @Chris-DTA was camping in his this past weekend.

I am just about to put my 50% deposit down. I don't think I will grab that build spot and unfortunately the one on expo is missing the big options I want which are the batteries and AC. I would consider driving it to golden after and having them add them but I just don't think that model is for me. Someone else can enjoy it as is. Yea Supertramp has been super kind and courteous to me.

I went back and forth and back and forth again and finally ended with A/C and the 400Ah battery bank on mine. In the end factory installation was worth the very large price tag to me! I don’t think I’ll use the AC that often but when I do I will surely be glad I got it.

Besides A/C and all the batteries I had L-track put on all sides, the ceiling and the kitchenette (but not the inside drivers wall), the 1500W inverter and the rear mounted (integrated into my 360 cameras) camera, oh and the inside shower…. Another one I wasn’t sure I wanted, but I’d rather have it than not.

That’s it. I’m going to do my own Lagun table with a folding tops that can expand and I’m not too sure about awnings or shower cubes so I just got tracks so I can add anything I want easily later.

My wife didn’t want a side window at all, and tbh I don’t think it’s all that great to have a huge hole in the camper when the entire top is windows anyway. We liked the privacy and security of all hard sides. Also don’t see the point behind the Eco-plus heater but we don’t camp at very many campsites so running it on propane seems more appropriate anyway than having a separate 20A power supply just to run heat.

All and all after looking at nearly every camper we just simply loved the Supertramp more than the others. We were very close on an OEV though.

Yea, I am with you on the AC. Probably wont need it too much but we'll sure be glad we have it. I mean if you wanna sleep at all during the late morning in the summers, especially in the southern half of this country then you'll want it. I think we have pretty much the same options. I don't think shower cube is worth it to me, but I did like the awning. Interesting about the Laguna table! I know that we can buy those ourselves but I wasn't sure if SuperTramp would put in the bracket down there for us if we didn't option it. Did you ask about that? I am planning on working out of it so a folding Laguna table may be better for me too!

This was the one I’m thinking though I’m not going to order until I have the camper in the garage so I can verify fitment for storage.

I didn’t ask supertramp about that though I figured it’s a through bolted mount that I am sure I can do at least as well as they can lol…. I guess providing I can access the back side of that cabinet and it’s not double walled or something silly like that.

Hey @Chris-DTA (sorry for tagging you like 6 times today), can you tell me about the inside front storage of your camper? Do you have the Laguna mount? Can you access the back side of the bolts where the nuts go if you have it? Can you post up a pic of the inside front storage and let us know if it’s a single or double wall?
