So the trailer was probably 1k over. Not a huge deal. The problem was weight distribution. You had room on the back, looks like possiblity 4' or more.
I would have felt a lot better if the whole load was shifted back on the trailer 2 or 3 feet.

Yes, I still check the Hewes forum from time to time. I'm primarily on bdoutdoors Washington forum now for boating stuff. And thehulltruth. I liked my Hewescraft just fine for fishing but wifey wanted something with more amenities. I didn't argue
That’s what I did to start with, had about another half stack at the very back, and I couldn’t get over 35mph with out it getting all squirly. So I distributed that stack on top of the others, probably could have just put it on the ones over the axles and none on the front stack.
After taking a trip last weekend pulling our 38' TT the Tremor had to start earning it's weight.
First pull on our 15K pintle trailer with a 279D in tow.
Next time I'll move the machine a little towards the rear of the trailer where the sprocket is between the axles although this pulled and more importantly stopped very well. I believe this 6.7 beast could pull the 325FL in the background but stopping it would put a new meaning to white knuckles...

That's exactly what I was debating on doing... Picking my truck up at Granger and driving to Colorado to get my camper and heading back home to WI. Nice looking setup.
