It comes with both. They plug into a module next to the winch.

So does anyone know if the winch requires the dual battery option on a 7.3 and /or high output alternator. I thought I had seen the winch on build and price on the Ford website but now I cannot seem to find it. If it was there I would just add it to the build and see if the website came back with "you need to add dual batteries". Wish they would put up the 2021 configurator on the website.

Yes it requires the dual battery and big alternator to get the winch.

If ordering the winch with the tuck yes. Could you get it to work without it yes, I would add a deap cycle battery with a ACR system add high idle switch to run the winch. Having dual alternators would be a better choice especially for heavy winch use but there are ways around not having it. For low amount winch use could get by with a upgraded battery and high idle but could require modifications to the kit and going to be hard on the alternator so not the preferred method.

Thanks for all the input. Looks like my build has been scheduled so no opportunity get that change in. I can't imagine adding the second battery would be too difficult if I decide to do that down the road - but would really have been nice to have the 2nd battery and hd alternator just in case I need it. Its king of like my tractor - you just never know how many things you are going to use it for until you have one. Wife now admits its probably the best thing we ever bought.

Yep, actually should have updated long ago. The winch arrived within a week or so of my truck. I elected to install it myself. All good

I ordered the truck June 13, 2020. I took delivery late September. I took special care to details when I ordered it as the dealer knew nothing of the winch. I provided the 15W code and part number, from this forum, and gave to dealer. It worked out for me

Has anyone had any problems with the handle on the winch that engages the clutch/freewheel option? I can’t seem to turn mine.

$2800.00. Installation was just nuts and bolts, straightforward. Everything fit right, just took my time, went slow, laid out all the pieces beforehand, included instructions were so so but got the job done. There's a torque sequence to follow and the instructions were clear on that. I think I messed around for about 5 hours not being in any hurry, I think I could do it in half that now.

Supposedly there is a trim piece you can buy for the drivers side that fully covers the space in front of adaptive cruise if you have it installed. My dealer hasn't found it yet.

Does this trim piece have any function?
Would it be needed to put a Warn on?
Why aren't people putting Warns on for 2/3 the price?

Mine is not hard to turn but it does take a decent amount of smooth force throughout the turn. With the winch hook clipped to the passenger side tow point and the line tight it's difficult to get my hands on the clutch lever so I power it out a click then can turn the lever to freewheel.

I’ve tried powering the rope out and still can’t turn the handle.

Ah bummer.... is the shaft of the lever rubbing on the bumper? In any case sounds like a trip back to the dealer ?

Hoping to find a part number for it

I ordered mine in November with the winch. Still haven't received a VIN # yet but I made sure it was on the build sheet. Had a weird exchange with the feet manager but he finally saw that it was an option. There's a field on the left side under exterior choices on the Ford site. I've heard of these being a dealer installed item as well.

Yeah I got mine with the winch. I added it when I ordered the truck. The factory sent the winch to the dealer inside the truck and the dealer installed it. All ready to roll when I picked it up with two remotes one corded and one wireless.

Hey everyone, I don't mean to spam this video on multiple threads, but I feel it's an important safety issue. If you have the winch, please ensure the bolts on the bumper don't shred the winch line during operation.
