Does anyone know if 40’s fit with the Carli 5.5” lifts?

You can actually get 40s to fit on a 3.5 with trimming, 5.5 has a better stance but it can be done

I wish more tires came in 40s, my maxxis 37/13.5/16 MT are great in the wet conditions I live in, but I would like something quiet for the summer time when I have the windows down and sun roof open

A less aggressive tread with a mean blocky beefy sidewalk is all a man really wants

On the fence on 37/12.5r18 instead of 35’s just would like to carry a matching spare.

I keep meaning to try and put my spare 37 in on my 24. I bet worst case it would just need to be aired down a little bit. I really want to go to 37’s but I want a full-size spare also. I made that mistake on my 2015 and paid for it on a trip to the middle of nowhere Idaho during a hunt. Let’s say from then on I carried one in the roof rack on my canopy.

Just replaced the factory duratracts at 48k miles on my stock 2021 7.3 tremor with 285/75r18 Toyo RT Pros!
They ride smooth and look good!

Awesome! Loved the RT trails on my last SD, going to switch to the pros soon my new SD.

After driving the Toyo M/T’s for about 5K miles, I have to say they ride much better than the Toyo R/T Trails I had. The M/T’s balance extremely well, which wasn’t the case for the R/T trails

That's my concern...I kinda want to try the RT Pro vs MTs but I tried the RT trails on my last truck and I didn't love the hardness of the tire, they spun easier and going from 37x12.5R20 MT to 37x12.5R17 RT Trail, the Ride didn't improve as I hoped it would. I don't want to end up not liking the RT Pros as much as the MTs. Also wondering how much quieter the Pro is than the MT after they have some miles on them.

I just had them installed a few weeks back, so roughly 1000 miles. I have a 10-hour round trip tow this weekend, so I'll have a better idea of how they handle that here in the coming days.

I installed the RT Pro in June and really like them so far.
Slightly noisy depending on the road surface but not annoying for me at least.

I have about 1k miles on my RT Pros now and have been really impressed.

Feedback across the board is consistent with what @Mister Bevilaqua has outlined. RT Pros ride better and seem to be more well liked than RT Trails. The shop I bought mine from strongly recommended the pros over the trails for a number of reasons including ride quality.

I think this question was directed at me - I live in Lake Tahoe so I run the gamut conditions wise and care about winter performance. This will be my first winter with them so jury is still out there but initial impressions from the storm we got a few weeks ago were positive.

In the summer Im towing our boat (weighs about 10k pounds) 3-4 times a week and spend some time in the summer off road on fire roads and the trails around here that my truck will fit on. So I think my use case covers everything outside of extreme off road use.

Apparently my tire shop (Discount Tire) has no experience with putting on tires in mildy cold temps (upper 30s). They have been trying for the last hour now to blow the last tire onto the rim. I am losing patience. Tempted to tell them to put my old tire back on and order me a new one and try again with a new different tire.

........update, 2.5 hours later and they are installed. Walk out to pick it up and they put the f-ing RT Trails on it. Supposedly put my Pros on someone elses truck that ordered the Trails. He was trying to get that guy to come back up and switch tires. I told him no f-ing way. You are buying me new tires and putting them on. I am not gonna roll on someone else's tires. Super disappointed in DT!.

LOL, I have been dealing with the same thing at my local Discount tire this week as well. Apparently, they don't have true blast tanks, liability, and all with the stupid 17-year-old dunces they employ these days. This was for a set of UTV tires/wheels, and I ended up having to take them to an off-road shop to get it done. Surprised they are having that issue with the RT Pro.

That is terrible, sorry to hear that.
I just used DT for the first time when I had mine installed on Tuesday and was actually pretty impressed.
Hopefully they make it right for you or I’d be taking my business somewhere else
