Throttle pedal lag

Updates?

Only update is that Banks has just shipped today. Seems like Christmas sales are slowing down the works.
Thinkthey had a huge sale going on. How much ya get it for?

Thanks all for the information. Just ordered the pedal monster for my (V8 5.0) 2025 Tremor. I've used pedal commanders on previous vehicles and let's just say, that's why their previous vehicles.

Looking forward to plugging it in and see how much of a difference it makes!

The Pedal Monster does help with the driving experience but I still have a dead spot when coasting and then applying throttle.

Banks with not fix torque management programing or this dead pedal issue unfortunately. Personally I feel it is a safety issue, at times there is to much delay between throttle and acceleration. Throttle does not like quick on-off-on throttle imputs at speeds below 40 mph.

I had this same thing happen today.

It is definitely a safety issue.

If it's in normal mode, it'll ride the tallest gear it can, and have to drop a couple gears when you demand power.

I prefer to run tow mode, to keep it closer to the power band, or just drop a gear manually before accelerating.
It helps.

The other factor is the 10spd does not produce any boost at these low speeds, so you have electronic delay in throttle application and turbo lag, which adds to this slow power delivery. My '15 6.7l with 6spd did not have this issue and felt faster (at least seat of the pants) than my current truck. I can say that now that my replacement transmission is broken in, it does shift really good and seems on point. I have just learned to deal with the other issue.

My Banks order ended up getting sent back by FedEx. Dumbasses tried to deliver it (to my business address) after 4:00 on Christmas Eve and then before 7:00 on the day after Christmas and then returned it. Literally never saw the the door tags before they sent it back.

I suppose I will wait until it gets there and order another one.

I constantly have problems at my shop with FedEx drivers delivering firearms a to a neighboring business. One of them was a $10k gold-plated AK-47. The employee next door that usually signs for them is someone who should never own a firearm lol.

Good help really is hard to find...

I think this is more of a transmission thing. Every 10R80 and 10R140 I have owned has this dead spot like that. The new 10 speeds hate to be coasting, they like to be driven hard.

FedEx sucks balls, they will leave a $3K MacBook Pro on the porch and make me sign for a $5.00 RC car part. Both will be in a beat up package and days late.

Pedal Monster went in today - and I do have a smile on my face and that's only in City mode

Nice, after driving mine for a while I thought I liked Sport 4, but ended up picking City 10. The City curve just fits me and the truck better. It was fun messing around with it. I have a 7.3, be interested on what the 6.7 guys like.

I have a bionic Pedal Commanding Monster dealibob... it's in my right fo0t!

That is the reason people don't think they need it or maybe it's not worth it. But if you watch videos of how fast the butterfly opens compared to the foot pedal. You could move the pedal at the speed of light and the throttle still opens at the same rate unless you have a Pedal Monster. It actually speeds up the motor to open and close faster to get more of a cable like feel everyone misses.

Fozz, thank you for that.

For me, though, it's not about how fast I can open the throttle. As long as idle at the pedal is idle on the TB and wide open at the TB is WOT at the pedal, I'm good.

I was only funnin' you guys. I'm outnumbered in this dept but I stand by my postition. Cheers!

So…Banks says my part is 64310 for a 2023 7.3….if I find a used one with that part #, should work correct?

There’s a bunch around me for sale, but some are for Rams, some other fords, but all have the same part #

Yes, the 64310 is the correct item number for our trucks.

The 64310-C is for 2007-2019 Ram 2500/3500 and 2011-2020 Ford F-Series 6.7L

The 64330 is for "many Chevy/GMC, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Nissan"

And the 64370 is for 2008-2024 Sprinter 1500-3500 Gas & Diesel
