How many of you got the Pedal Monster and use it standalone or with an iDash pod?

Definitely i dash. I don't want to have to pull out my phone to make changes to it. And depending on my mood, that may be often, especially with my teenage boys in the truck! After set up, I don't think I have connected with the app once. Though, I do want to change some of the readings on the screen and that is easier with the app.How many of you got the Pedal Monster and use it standalone or with an iDash pod?
Banks doesn't build bandaids, they make ointment.Proper fix vs bandaid fix but alas should solve the issue and make it more enjoyable to drive
Standalone. I set it and forget it. Just want that goid old throttle cable control feeling. How many of you got the Pedal Monster and use it standalone or with an iDash pod?
Have you even researched the Pedal Monster? It also increases the speed of the motor and gives you as close to a cable as you're going to find. It's very impressive, much more than a "resister".Peddal monster is simply an adjustable variable resister. Will trick your peddle to give more stroke with less foot.
The lag is the fly by wire. I don’t know of a fix to create the direct linkage type response.
I just did the stand alone, I think once you find the feel you like, you would set it and forget it.How many of you got the Pedal Monster and use it standalone or with an iDash pod?
I may have missed this, but I wonder if the Pedal Monster is capable of commanding 100% throttle at all times? Waiting for full tuning access (Whipple) but I'd buy a PM as a stop-gap if that was the case.Fixed this in my 7.3 with a tune. From factory- my tuner was showing me that putting the pedal the floor only yielded 83% of what was actually available. We turned that up a bit and also made the throttle mapping more linear which solved for that surge in power past 2700 rpm. Worse for mpg? Prob. More enjoyable to drive and more predictable? Absolutely.
HO 6.7 Elvis7.3?
My goal was to get as close to a mechanical throttle a possible.
I don't want more or less than the exact amount I'm asking for, and i want it CONSISTANT!
i want the same response, to the same input, instantly and every time.
Computer trucks drive me crazy, but this SD seems a lot more refined than the F won fiddy was.
Less nannys too.
Honestly not sure! I do know the pedal piece of the tune was finniky. We had to play with a few values to get everything working right but ultimately it drastically changed the driving experience for my right foot lolI may have missed this, but I wonder if the Pedal Monster is capable of commanding 100% throttle at all times? I'll do standalone then. Don't need EGTs for a naturally aspirated V8Standalone. I set it and forget it. Just want that goid old throttle cable control feeling.
I dash is tempting, but sooo much information already available on the truck dash... only thing missing is EGTs, which I'm sure i don't need until i get a bigger trailer.
It really helped my Coyote.I'll do standalone then. Don't need EGTs for a naturally aspirated V8
Thanks buddy. You and VE have convinced me on Banks. Ordered this morning.Prior to install, be sure to make sure your truck is in sleep mode. Open your door and keep the key fob at least 10 feet away per instructions (if you don't leave your door open, you'll have to wait another 10 minutes because opening the door will wake up the truck). It takes 10 minutes for the truck to be asleep as you'll notice the interior lights will go off. If the key fob is too close, there'll still be communication which you don't want.
Same goes for uninstalling it for whatever reason (dealer trip). Wait 10 minutes (key fob away), unplug it, and you're good to go.
Ford fucks us all, some way or another.Yes- this. Honestly I forget that a lot.
Ford has fucked me on warranty for lack of better words several times historically so I no longer care lol
I put the fob 20 ft away, opened the door and pushed the button until i saw the taillight screen on the dash.Prior to install, be sure to make sure your truck is in sleep mode.
