2020 Ford F250 Lariat Tremor
As the title states, thinking about selling my 2020 F-250 Lariat Tremor, fully loaded with BAP, Adaptive Steering, Adaptive Cruise, Pano Roof, 5th Wheel Package, Cab Lights, Etc. I just don't drive it enough, and the fun of driving it has kinda dissipated. I spend a lot of time in LA traffic, and as you all know it's not the most nimble vehicle in the land of Tesla's and Prius assholes on the 101 and 405 Freeways. I originally got this truck to Offroad, Tow my boat and potentially get a 5th wheel. I don't think the 5th wheels is in the cards anytime soon.

What do you think I could list it for? It has 66,000 Miles on it, but still looks and drives like brand new.

Mods:

Carli 3.5" Leveling, fully option'd E-Venture Lift
Toyo 38" M/T
18" Innov8 G600 Polished Wheels
ADD Mole Panel
Built Right Bed Panels
GJ Motor Sports 3rd Breaklight with BD S2
OnBoard Air with train horn
Factory Aftermarket Light Bar with 5 LP9's
Factory Warn Winch
Dometic Console Fridge
AFE Power CAI
Retrax XR Bed Cover

I was thinking around 75-80K? Does that sound too high? To low?

I was thinking about going to a Bronco or Bronco Raptor.

Man that's a beautiful truck. Not sure what it's worth, but definitely looks top dollar sale. Good luck and hope you get a great offer. Who ever buys it is going to love it.

Honestly… and I am a new car freak…. Keep it. What are you getting in a Bronco? You’ll miss the real truck that’s already built out. If anything buy a daily driver and keep building the truck out.

And the toy…

Variety is the spice of life!

I def don't regret having an additional vehicle for when the truck is a bit much.

It's an absolutely gorgeous truck, someone will want it for sure, sorry I have no worthwhile insights into a listing price. I'll echo the others in wondering if a commuter box addition is a viable option. I'm aware space, cost and many other factors can come into play.

If you picked up a much smaller fairly recent Ford, you'd have a huge leg up on the electronics & user interface, etc. thanks to the common elements and similar control locations.

Maverick, Ranger, Edge, Bronco Sport, there's a lot of options.

I fought the 10, 405, 101 and all the rest for more than a couple decades when I lived down there and know how wearing it can be to fight traffic in a large truck. Last place I lived before my big bail to the north was in the Santa Rosa Valley, not too far south of you.

You have to ask yourself: do you really want to sell and not be a member of this forum anymore!? 🤪 I would only sell if you can get into something that you'll really enjoy driving; whether it's the Bronco Raptor or the Raptor R. My $.20 adjusted for inflation.

As far as what you have done to it means nothing unless you can find someone that wants exactly what you wanted bottom line is it’s worth whatever an almost 5 year old truck with 66k miles on it is worth I’ve recently seen 22 platinums with less than half that mileage going for $70-75k at dealerships

first, you have a beautiful truck. I've looked at your build closely over the months. Given me a solid idea on what to do when my 24 shows up in Sep/Oct.

If space and money weren't a problem, I'd keep it. I think you found the sweet spot for your build, and how you described your intended use is pretty much how I'll use mine. I have a pretty nice CJ for local driving (plus a work truck), and a Defender for the woman and suit case trips around the country with the dogs. When we drive anywhere like San Diego or Reno, I still prefer my 20 year old truck over the Defender, which is pretty gussied up trim-wise.

Second, what Cux211 said is absolutely true, When I sell my 2004.5 Dodge with 85K on it, I'll run into that same thing. It has a lot of value for someone on a budget that wants it just how it sits. In your case, you lose a lot of buyers that will just buy new and build to their own taste. If I had to guess on a price each of us, I'd say market (which I have no idea), plus 25% of what you added. Being SoCal, you might get a little more.

I agree with @TRAMPER. I wouldnt sell it. You may have regerts b/c what you built would cost a LOT to get back. Get a decent DD thats easy on fuel and keep that well-built rig you've put together.

IF you do end up selling it... for the love of blue ovals please pull them lights off and sell them separately. There's plenty of guys that would take them off you for more than you'll ever get with them attached to the truck.

Lets put it this way - my similar to yours but '22 BAP got an offer for $74k, fully loaded Eventure, etc and i'm pushing 17k miles, and that was the best out of two dealers and with a trade into a '24 Raptor. Don't do it, unless you find a buyer who values it like you do, you'll never get what value you'd want. Cars and Bids is probably the best place to sell it though I'd guess?

Gorgeous truck. I’ll be the bearer of bad news though. I think if you get an offer even remotely close to $70K you better take it and run. Honestly I think $60k is still going to take a minute to sell. The used market has completely tanked. I’d say $65-68K is doable if you're patient and find the right buyer.

Yea, @TX03RUBI the market is flooded now, there are no delays generally speaking on getting what you want. A 2020 won't have Sync 4 which for me and other's I know was a huge selling point. Even my '22 is at a disadvantage now since I dont have any of the new fancy gizmos on the '23+ only saving grace is I don't have that new front end :p #blessed

My '22 King Ranch Tremor with 48k miles sold for $75k - I agree with others in saying that for a 2020 Lariat with 66k miles, you'd be doing well to get $65k.

The reality is unless you find someone with the exact same taste you have, aftermarket parts do not increase value. In fact, often times the opposite can be true.

Start with Carmax and Carvanna to get a ballpark price. From there, see what a dealer would give you on trade. Remember, if you trade it in it saves you tax money on your new purchase. The dealership knows that so they will offer you less.

It's an awesome looking truck. I hope you hang onto it. Good luck.

Got my ass chewed out for even bringing it up at home.. lol so the truck stays for a while longer. @WakeZilla I'm not desperate to take to caravana or carmax. Their offer would be insulting even for a stock truck, let alone a full optioned modified truck.

I firmly disagree on your opinion. My taste isn't anywhere obscure to warrant no extra value for the modifications. Happy for your $75k sale.
