Shocked at all the replies - thanks for comin' thru gents!

I have some reading and studying to do and I also have some learning to do: how in God's planet do you all keep your interior's so clean?!

My rig, even when washed, does not look anywhere near that prestine.

I guess I need to learn to wheel with my windows closed but that's like trying to make babies with pants on. No fun in that...

I already use the laptap mount on the passenger side and even though it's great to have; it gets in the way when its mounted (and even when it's not ). I have a love/hate relationship with this thing.

I also feel like others, having the tablet screen down would disrupt my driving concentration. It's easy to look down but stay focused on the screen for 1 second too long and all of a sudden you've ran off the side of a trail, hopefully not off a ledge or into a tree.

Because this would be temprorary, used only on trails or when working, I wouldn't have a problem keeping it up on the dashboard.

Your truck is as dirty on the outside as mine is on the inside .

This looks fantastic, but my concern would be that when looking at the tablet screen, your eyes have to travel quite a bit away from the front view, aka driving direction. What's your own experience?

This is while testing out a new front facing camera I installed. However it typically runs OnX, Gaia, etc. It’s a Built Right dash mount with 6 Seven Designs arm, ball, and IPad mount. Running Starlink Mini off both my rides, and have a similar setup in my GMC daily but using a Bullet Point dash mount instead.

Also the picture is taken from a bit lower than line of sight. The iPad doesn’t block any of my view over the hood of the truck like it does from the camera angle.

I’ve got it ran to an upfitter switch. Works well, and is able to scroll up/down as well as record from the app. So far I like it.

Well here is a pic of the ADD molle mount with bridge and Tackform mount that @TellurideTremor mentioned. It is an absolutely rock solid mount.

Magnetic wireless charger for the phone and another cable that wraps around the tablet mount. both are powered by the bulletmount 12v power supply i mounted under the molly panel tray at the top.

I’m still in quest and gathering information for this set up; what size tablets are you guys showing?

Some of what you all have shares appear to be really big screens.

I think I’d like to go with something a tad smaller.

Perhaps a trip to a brick and mortar might be my best bet for a proper selection.

A quck update to this thread - I went with a "budget" holder because I can easily hide it when not in use.

I don't need the tablet propped up 100% of the time, and this setup is working great for now.

Although there were smaller tablets which was the ultimate goal, they really scale them down as far as performance is concerned and one of the main objectives of this tablet is to also be able to run AutoCAD; at least be able to open our CAD files.

This 11" by Samsung was on sale for dirt cheap so I scooped it up but I can already tell it's going to run out of memory very quickly.

This will get us by for now.

I might have to do this mount for my work armor(s) for the AXON cameras/ATAK tablets. As they are 450 chassis and have that notch on top this may be a good fit
