Starlink about to get faster????

it's affordable connectivity after you get the hardware

it's not any cheaper for home cable
Get old version of gear off ebay. I got my my dish for half the price of new..still works just fine.
Places I use starlink there isn't a "home" or service.

We actually got an email from starlink about upgrading our old router for free.

Exactly. A lot of people conflate latency with throughput. Higher “speed” ≠ faster. Once you have enough bandwidth, low latency/jitter/packet loss is king for most everyday use, and Starlink has surprisingly low latency when signal is decent.

(I know you know this.)
You can just call me motherfing Jon Snow

Based on prior behavior, you can be damn sure the all-new higher bandwidth will require new hardware, higher subscription tier, or both. 150 Mbps download is already more than I need for camping. All I want is to be able to stream a single device plus email/text on 5 devices.
150mps? Need to let it do some updates. This was in the middle of the Mon NF.
Dish is dish...probably just need a new router.
You concerns are valid we used to pay 150 a month and 0 for standby...I picked up a good chunk of SPCX when it bottomed out at 108...so I am already ahead. ;)

That's what I mean☝️

29ms ping on a sat connection is nuts. That's exactly what I just got on my freaking business coax pipe...
