6.7 has more HP and torques than an inferior motor that is .6 liters bigger at 7.3 using an inferior fuel.It takes a special kind of confidence to call a 7.3L a 'tiny motor' compared to a 6.7L.

You silly willy! We weren't talking about horsepower or torque. You simply can't call a motor 'tiny' when it boasts an additional 36 cubic inches of internal displacement.6.7 has more HP and torques than an inferior motor that is .6 liters bigger at 7.3 using an inferior fuel.

That’s what she said. You simply can't call a motor 'tiny' when it boasts an additional 36 cubic inches of internal displacement.
Yeah, it was right after my unit deployed in 2000 that the Arizona crash happened and killed everyone onboard. According to my friends that are still in, they are a solid bird now, but they were a travesty in late 90’s early 2000’s.No kidding. Heard the V-22 was a wild ride.
Something I may consider in the future. I’m just stretched so thin right now. A Navy buddy and I are trying to close the deal on the purchase of second self defense company by the end of the year. I keep trying to be retired but it never works.I bet you could make a lot of coin doing paint matched shit on this forum alone if you wanted to
I could explain how a 225 pound body builder is stronger than a 300 pound morbidly obese guy but I fear the analogy would be lost on you. Sometimes there’s more to size than decimals when it comes to power, like in this case. Either way, relax. Vets mock each other. It’s in our DNA and is all in good fun. Much like the gas vs diesel debate. Not that there is a debate. It takes a special kind of confidence to call a 7.3L a 'tiny motor' compared to a 6.7L. Agreed. I bought this to haul a 15k pound fifth wheel trailer so gas wasn’t really an option. Neither of these trucks are surviving Armageddon for five minutes, let’s be honest. The first EMP is turning everything post 2006 into an instant paper weight, regardless of fuel.It really depends on your use case. Gassers are great for off-road, commuters and just daily stuff like going to the deer lease or picking up a few thousands pounds of rock. Modern ones are great are towing decent trailers if mileage isn’t an issue. Maintenance is negligible. Oil changes. Plugs at 100k miles. Big gassers are probably the ones that survive Armageddon.
Diesel, much better mileage towing,
somewhat better empty but between cost and DEF and more maintenance not cheaper. Far more finicky on fuel, much more expensive oil changes, regular fuel filter changes, don’t start at -40 without heat (my BBC and SBCs always did, and my BGE did just fine, guessing the 7.3 would too.) no fuel gelling issues, no $15k blown CP4 repairs. Everything is more expensive.
Towing 20k lb trailer daily? Diesel. I bought mine because I have a 13k lb toy hauler. The gasser sucked on range and definitely was limited on speed up hills in the Rockies. 75% of the time I would prefer the 7.3 but the 25% and not having to dump 6 gallon VP fuel cans in on the shoulder when towing makes the diesel worth it. It is nice to have the power to make it up all the hills at posted speed too with the camper.
I don’t think ford has a leg to stand on with the CP4 issue at this point. A mildly autistic civil attorney could win that case with headphones on.we did get Flying J to pay for one CP4 repair and a Cummins ISX15 since they both blew fuel pumps filling up at the same pump. I think the ISX was actually cheaper than the Ford
yeah, that’s a great looking truck. I love my black King Ranch F350 but I have to admit I saw that color tremor package with an 8-foot bed last weekend at Ken Garff Ford American Fork Utah and fell in love with it. Unfortunately it was sold the next dayView attachment 275919View attachment 275920View attachment 275921Well, after three months of waiting, “Trucky” (my four year olds name for it) has finally arrived. It’s everything I hoped for. It’s gonna be a challenge keeping my foot out of the pedal until diesel gets more reasonable because the childlike joy I feel passing people is gonna be a problem. Bed liner tomorrow, window tint Monday, chrome delete next weekend.

LOL...dude...I am up at 0400 daily as well! Hard to get that out of our systems eh?It's hard to put the work down. I wake up at 0400 regardless of what day it is and I rarely take vacations because I'll be thinking of all the shit I need to fix when I get home lol.
Interested in the defense company or the scope of work rather if you care to share. I stayed close with my old CWO and he's still with the DoD. It'd be nice to update some doctrine on my old MOS after finding out the existing doctrine is extremely outdated and downright false in some principles.
