Receiver hitches?

Update: I tore out of a parking lot with a steep down slope onto the main road where there was a ton of scarring from other cars and scraped the hitch again, UNLOADED! The 8" bulletproof is getting cut down :(

And 1 month later I'm glad I haven't cut it down yet, although the 6" would have worked (wife disagrees).

look you always need a hitch on the back to protect your rear end ..... cars like hitting it .... i know from experience

Finally got my Weigh Safe 6” drop with 3” drawbar. I recommend 8” if you have a standard trailer. 6” on the lowest setting for my utility trailer (full size 14x7 cargo) keeps the front just tiny bit high. Not to the point of being an issue, but I guess hitch was a little higher then I thought. Had 8” on last truck, but I swear I measured it being 2” higher then tremor. ??‍♂️ BTW the black cerakote looks amazing.
Thanks for the great pics and will go with the 8" - have to agree about the black !!!

First let me say thank you for all the info in this thread. It's been really helpful for me to narrow down my options.

Second, a question to all of you out there. I'm mostly going to be towing a LARGE (40ft tip to tip) travel trailer that I currently have a WD setup on that I like allot and would like to keep using. For those interested:

But I also tow a small motorcycle trailer from time to time, so I need a drop option. I'm currently looking at the BulletProof 3" shank with an 8" drop. I do not plan to leave it in when not towing, so dragging isn't really a big concern of mine. Main reasons I'm thinking of using this one (other than made in the USA and seems very high quality) is because they offer a WD adapter, meaning I could maintain my current setup. Here's the question...
Does anyone have experience with BulletProof and using their WD adapter? Is there anyone else that offers a similar adapter that I could look into?
As far as I can tell BulletProof is the only company offering this type of adapter in a quick adjustment/swap setup. I really like the look of the B&W - but it doesn't look like they offer this type of an adapter.

Thoughts???

I think I'm going to be slightly ahead of you. If/when I get it going I'll update this thread.

I have a couple B&W tow and stow receiver hitches - pricey but won't need to buy any others in the future and they work great.

@SUPERCrew asked about receiver play. Here’s a quick but crappy video I shot this morning showing the amount of play between the shank and receiver on my b&w tow and stow.

he also has one for the 3” if you e-mail him

i am almost at a week as well and waiting for the points as well like the max trak they have
Ford has been slow to add the points. I have seen most customers get the points in about 30 days some sooner but several had to wait 60 days.

Hell my points took 4 months, and me calling 3 times about it.

8” drop weigh safe... seems to do the job

Does anyone have a the Carli 4.5" Pintop? What drop did you go with?
