The retainer on mine broke when filling. So it's plugged in, but not snapped onI would also run the banks, but they do not have one for the 11.6 Sterling and sounds like there’s no plan for them to do that in the future. So if you want a drain plug, you have to go with the PPE one and fill your oil through the electrical connector or go with something like the PMF one. Or buy a gasket every time you want to change it. That’s pretty cheap I guess and messy.
Bummer. The problem with the ppe on not being correct. They said it’s just not worth fixing because the tooling would cost too much. The retainer on mine broke when filling. So it's plugged in, but not snapped on
Yeah. I can’t understand why you would take the sensor loose when there is a fill plug on the case.Hasn’t been a problem for me. I just fill it using the factory fill port instead of the port on the cover.
You just need to use the factory fill port, not the one on the PPE cover. I was able to get 5.4qts in mine no problem. Note that it says you might need to use the ELD port, not that you have to. No idea why they don't mention the factory fill location. Here's my maintenance log entry and a shot of the port I'm talking about.Well, on my truck it says that I should use 5.3 quarts and I’ve read you can’t get 5.3 quarts in with the current location of the fill plug apparently. PPE is aware of this, thus why the instructions say fill through the connector.
Now, I have not received nor ordered the PPE. It’s just something I’m considering in deciding which one I’m going to get.

Decided to order the PPE. The PMF was nice, but felt better going with the PPE. So, rear gaskets ordered., AmsOil for front and rear are the workbench and learned to change the front M275, the bottom right bolt is the drain and your off to the races. .You just need to use the factory fill port, not the one on the PPE cover. Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I’ll see what the thread is, and I was gonna look for a side glass when it gets hereHow much above the PPE plug would the oil be? It would be cool to replace it with a sight glass.
Gross.I want to do the front and the tranny
