PPE Differential Cover 2024

I haven't replaced my cover yet. If PPE isn't going to fix the issue I'm thinking that may be the only other option. I like that particular piece.

Think about it. Drilling and tapping aren't tough. But I just can't help thinking that I'm missing something.

And you are absolutely correct, they SHOULD HAVE FIXED THIS!

Seriously, get under the truck, remove the ELD per the PPE instructions, and you’ll see why it’s not worth the extra drilling. I’ll fill off that every time now.

And do it by volume, not when it leaks out?

Yeah that’s how I’ll do it next time, fully drain it, then a bit over 5 bags of amsoil severe gear. In my mind a bit over is better than a bit under, but I’m neither a mechanic nor an engineer.

Too much is not good as well, your logic is incorrect.

I believe in the original batch of covers from PPE, the fill hole was not in the right place, but believe they have since corrected it. I had one put on a few weeks ago and didn't get any notes from the dealer on the fill level so assuming it was all good (that or they didn't care to say anything). 🤷
Sterling 11.6

The fill hole in their cover has not been updated and last I heard from them directly was that there is no plan to update.

The fill hole in their cover is too low- one key point to spending $350 on aftermarket cover would to be able to drain and fill with out removing the cover and not having to fill through the ELD.

First the standpipe issue on the 7.3 pans and now this. Frustrating. Looks like I'll be doing this backwards unless someone makes a cover with the fill hole in the right spot 😂
Could you elaborate on the standpipe issue? Is there a problem with the PPE 7.3 pan standpipe?

Anyonr install the PPE cover on a 2023 Tremor High Output rear end? I've got mixed input that it will fit and some say it will not.

There are many of us on here that can confirm it will in fact fit. All Tremors that are 23-25 MY are high output so that is irrelevant.

There are 2 different rear ends, Dana M300 or the Sterling.

I counted bolts on my ‘24 to confirm it was the sterling 11.6, which I think they all are? The PPE went on flawlessly, you just can’t fill it to the new capacity because the drain hole is too low, so I had to finish using the ELD connector on top of the diff. I wanted a lube locker gasket but they didn’t have them, so I put on a new oem gasket.

So it's the M275 correct? I appreciate the feedback.
Post a picture of the rear axle housing cover. If it is a solid cover (no fill hole) with 16 bolts, it is the 11.6" Sterling. PPE has a cover for it , but you can't get the correct volume of oil in through the fill port in the cover. You have to fill through the ELD port or the port at the front of the housing (near driveshaft flange).

Here is a pic. Banks won't fit 23+ High output Tremors. Just trying to confirm a PPE will.

Not the 11.6" Sterling.

See this thread:

Correct. Banks does not make a rear diff cover for the Sterling 11.6. PPE does. Interesting though, it appears you do NOT have the Sterling as I’m only counting 14 bolts. Your ‘23 must have been before the switchover.

Post a pic of the old cover. You either have the M275 or 300.
