Simple.

Which one do you OWN?

That is all. Wanna get a gauge on the actual ratio of gas/diesel trucks here.

Own more than one? Select more than once.

Comments go whichever direction they go. No rules other than site rules.

Look for common ground, or tear each other apart playfully and comedically. Up to y'all..

Thanks for playing!

What are we considering a blower? May have to change my vote. :p :p :p :p

I have been a gas guy my entire life.

This is my first diesel. I like it. Not "in love", but yes. Like.

It's NOT what I'm used to. Would I buy it again over the 7.3? Mmmm not sure.... I haven't driven a 7.3 with a Pedal Monster.

Many pros and cons to both engines.

They are both different hammers in my opinion. Would I buy and build again, HELL YEAH for my use case.
Gotta admit. . I LOVE those Whipple trucks!

Well if it is all highway and light tires and a 3.55 gear. It would be possible.
If only, but that is not my case. MPG was the deciding factor in my diesel choice this time.

I'd imaging a blown gasser can get pretty close to stock mpg numbers when driven conservatively... ?

Who the hell drives a Whipple conservatively! I have never met that person lol.

This is going to get interesting. ..

Neck and neck. like 0-60 times.

Yeah, I get just under 12 normal driving.

tell me you havent tuned/deleted without telling me :)
Yeah brother.

Not in the plan any time soon. at 30k/year, I'll hit the 150k mile warranty mark in 4-5 short years.

She sure is a heavy lady, no doubt. Maybe in 4-5 years we'll check out weight watchers or Jenny Craig.

I can live with def and additives. Heck, I've been using additives in gas engines my whole life. Just not every tank.

I'm shocked at how many more gassers there are than diesels so far, but it is still early. I might have my eyes opened on this forum...

RIght on. I remember DIYing a Jenny Craig plan on my previous truck. It was a decent bit of work granted i replaced up/down pipes and did a few other things at the same time.

Biggest thing i'd be concerned with, especially if your running adds, is the DEF going bad. But, at 30kmiles/year... i doubt your def sees much more than a month or two in your truck, if that.

It seems to use 4 gal every 1500ish miles.

I've be using the truck stop pumps. No clue if that's good or bad, but It's convienent.

I do like the almost silent and clean exhaust. Awesome truck so far.
