You don't find out the efficiency and worth of an insurance company until you need them. Ive done comparison shopping and not found much difference. Now days anyone settling for state minimum coverage is foolish.

Very true, however...
We had some serious winds and storms blow through when all this transpired...I had damage on my truck (which they paid in a matter of hours...just from pictures I sent it)
Our roof had substantial damage and USAA (the adjuster they hired) wanted to only pay $7500 total, including our 1% deductible) because the adjuster they contracted said we had very little damage.
I asked for a second look and asked USAA to send out an employee of USAA and not a subcontractor. Low and behold, they sent someone from the very same subcontractor. Needless to say...that didn't sit well with me.
Same result from USAA....same findings. SO....we went to a different home and auto company.
We had another batch of storms blow through that same year, just a few months later....our new carrier came out...did an appraisal and was done in less than 30 minutes. Approved the new roof on the spot.
We had USAA as our carrier for well over 30 years prior to this. One roof claim (much smaller home) about 20 years ago....one windshield claim during that same span. They WERE at one time...fantastic.

I agree, but truthfully there isn't much anymore that is as good as it once was! Especially myself!!!
