Out of curiosity, are you doing other things while you are here? That hotel is about 60 miles from the meet up on Saturday morning.

Literally several hundred hotels that are closer.
 
So is it just one day on the trails? Dave what your plans for the trails? I’ll be solo as the wife’s will just be finishing treatment again. I’ll grab a room at the Best Western as well.

the one I'm at is southwest of town

you'll probably want one closer to the meet-up & or north too

the hotel & why i chose it:
figured 950miles was a good stopping point & 150 bucks cheaper than closer hotels.

figured a saturday morning shouldn't have any traffic issues either

see ya at the sun dial with a full tank + 20gal on board

looking forward to it.

after:
I'll be going somewhere a week or 10 days or so.

monument valley, valley of the gods, zion, gooseneck, vermilion cliffs, white pocket, the wave @ Coyote buttes, bryce, capitol reef
or somewhere else????

won't be able to do all that but i gotta throw some darts & see where i land.

I'll be dispersed out in the middle of nowhere camping each night.

anyone up for any of that, all's welcome!!!!

Heh thanks for the invite man but I’d be the only non super duty there :)

Unfortunately I no longer have my beloved MTNDUTY. I'll be in a real tremor at some point in the future but probably not until next year. We're trying to finalize a permanent move to CO as home base right now so I'm in truck limbo for the foreseeable future. Ideally will be in a tremor before Moab next year but we'll see!

Oooh. I may be down for this. That's the weekend following SEMA, so some desert time away from asphalt would be nice.

Anyone in for camping? I could be swayed to the RV or ground tent if there was any interest in either of those.

No booth this year for us, thankfully. I thought we were going to up until about a month ago. We have done it for the last four years or so. Time for a break. Glad I'm not in the shop until midnight for two months building a truck. 🤣

Man having to work is really killing my availability for these meetups. Ill be flying back from Korea that Friday and driving the family back from California that Saturday. If anyone is around for drinks and a cigar on Sunday I am in.
 
Reservation made planning to arrive 13Nov staying at Days Inn 21636 North 26th Avenue, Phoenix, seems to be about 30 min drive over to sundial

I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself since I’m taking some time off from what you call “work” (which I love, by the way), and I’ll need to check my schedule and availability; but with several folks visiting from other states, maybe we could plan a Sunday run?

The only way I’d confirm now is if we get weather like we had this past weekend here in Arizona—can’t totally count on it, but it’s a great possibility thanks to El Super Niño.

That’s when I drop all the survey gear and this land now becomes my playground.

Between us, it’s the perfect “excuse” for postponing the job without clients frowning.

@Toxophilite - thoughts?
