Meanings behind Monikers (Screen-names)

Grew up back in the day when the NBA was a legitimate sport and consisted of real athletes who could take a beating and play every game, unlike the pansies that currently exist. Dennis Rodman was a dude I absolutely enjoyed watching play. He was all effort on the floor. Sacrificed his body for the team. And he loved to start $h!t. I was no Rodman, but I sucked on the offensive side of the ball but could hold my own on defense, similar to Rodman. I actually hated playing basketball but that's what all of mine friends enjoyed doing in our down time. So, that's what I did. Rodman's nickname was "The Worm". All of my buddies knew I enjoyed watching him play, and like him, I couldn't make a basket to save my life but I sure could stand my ground on the opposite end. Even got in a couple of fist fights on the court. They all would call me "Worm". At some point one of my buddies I played with ended up getting Ringworm. We all gave him hell for it, but I more so than others. Ironically, somehow that got thrown back at me and my nickname the "Worm" morphed into the "Ringworm". :ROFLMAO:

I f'ed up when I created the account and accidentally and unknowingly included the 8. If I can somehow correct it point in the right direction. lol

It's an SCCA street legal racecar that I've owned for 39 years. In the '60's and '70's, it beat Porsches and Corvettes on 5 mile asphalt hill climbs. It also roadraced at many famous racetracks, some that are no longer here.

I used to be really into rock crawling many moons ago. My Jeep was notorious for lifting a tire when wheeling some of the more extreme obstacles. It happened so frequently that my friends joked that I only needed three wheels. That’s how my Jeep earned her nickname Tripod and I’ve used it as a forum screen name ever since.

My mother says affectionately that my family is more like a gang than a family because we are so close. It’s my wife & 2 college age daughters-during Covid they were HS-Jr. High aged and there were many interesting conversations had during this period. At some point we got into transgender conversation after an arguememt amongst my girls. Subsequently, everyone in the family received transgender nicknames which have continued to evolve & are used often - which in public is quite funny (to us at least). My initial transgender name was Rheba bc Rheba McIntyre is a redhead & they say I am dramatic & can be over the top (whatever-whatever). My nickname name has evolved to “Rhebster” which now gets used by my close friends & extended family.

The Googler AI can explain it best -

"A toxophilite is a person who is a lover, enthusiast, or expert of archery. Derived from the Greek words toxon (bow) and philos (loving), this term often refers to someone deeply invested in the sport."

I am an avid archer, hunting and target. I usually compete in 15-20 tournaments per year - (3D, NFAA, Field, ASA, & Indoor)

The L is the first letter in my first, middle and last name. I’ve been in aviation my entire adult life and back in the day when we would release a flight or a pilot we would give them our initials. The phonetic word for L is Lima so Triple Lima just kinda stuck. Now that @Optimus🤖 knows I own a DD he might start referring to me as Triple Double. 😂

You know it, my friend!
