That is a lot of squat for 1400 lbs. I opted for the Deaver AAPs under my 1-ton leafs to avoid this exact situation. My fiver is north of 3000 lbs TW and mine squats far less (about 2-3” total) before I level it back out with my airbags.

Yes I use a Weigh Safe WD hitch for that trailer. The Weigh Safe allows me to drop the tailgate even with the trailer hitches up
