How to get Ford's Private Cash Offer (PCO OFFER)

I haven’t seen a pop up however I just got a PCO in my email. Pretty sure it was from building a new tremor and requesting dealer pricing.
I just got one as well. I have not been on the Ford site in a year. Pitched it today.

Haven’t been on the website for months and got the $2000 offer today. I hit delete. I’ll be too old to need a new truck by the time I get rid of my Tremor. Of course it’ll expire way before then anyway. 😁
Was the PCO already attached to your name?

Unfortunate for those that received after a purchase but ray of hope for us waiting on delivery. I assumed once an order was placed the system would flag to no longer send.

I got one in the mail today

At The State Fair of Texas, Ford has a thing where you can sign up for a test drive. When they email you the offer of a $50 gift card for taking a test drive, it also comes with a PCO for $2,000 off a F150 or F250. The Fair ends this Sunday though.

I get one about every 3-4 months it seems for the last two years.

Notice it says "exclusive". Only good for the name on the address label.
Correct. I get them all the time in email as well as conventional mail. I don’t think I have ever received a generic pop up one

Got an alert that this is coming near me. Not a whole lot of places but seems these things always hand out PCO’s. Hoping to score one for my truck.

Went to this today. No PCO as these guys just seem to be a 3rd party marketing company. Likely no PCO for anyone else. Just a $10 gift card for coming out and test driving 😂

I got a $2,500 offer from Ford. Here's how, and how to make it work on an order, as the offers are/were designed to get the buyer to buy a truck off the lot, not order one.

1. Go to the Ford website and fill out the profile page with your name, email, phone, ect. Don't stall out looking for a cash offer. Give them all the information they ask for.

2. Build a truck on the Ford site.

3. Then wait a bit and you might/will receive a cash offer in the mail. You'll probably also get a call from a local dealer.

4. Order the truck you want from the dealer you like, after making the best deal you can with them. Remember, the cash offers are for trucks already on the lot, but don't worry about that and don't mention it to the dealer or they may not give you the best deal they can.

5. Watch for the offer to arrive in the mail.

6. Wait until your truck has a VIN number assigned, about two weeks. You can call the dealer to find out if one has been assigned. This makes your purchase the same as if you found a truck on the lot and your cash offer should work. Then go back to your dealer and show them your offer voucher. They will enter it in the computer and you are locked in. The offer must be validated AFTER the VIN number is assigned, but BEFORE the voucher expires.

7. When you do the final paperwork to pick up the truck, the offer will get subtracted from the purchase price.

Some things might have changed, but this is what worked when I bought my '21, and I know others did the same thing after I posted these directions.

One correction I would add, is that these offers are not only for in stock vehicles. Even in past years when there was no wording to include "order", these offers could still be applied to an ordered vehicle. For a couple years now they have included the wording "order" on the offer.

the ones I have always received say “take delivery or place order by”. I have used them on all my special orders

That is why i included the directions on how to make it work on an ordered vehicle. My offer said right on it that it was for purchases made from existing stock. But it may be that it is easier now.

And that is why I said that it didn't matter now, or before. They never required any work around to use it on an order.

Yep, the last couple years they have included that language, but even before that, when they didn't, the offer could still be applied to an order just the same.

It doesn't matter now, as I ordered mine about three years ago. But at the time, my dealer told me specifically that with a VIN, the order was considered existing stock, and therefore eligible. And since the offer specifically stated that it was for in stock vehicles, there was no way for me to know that, as you say, it really wasn't only for in stock vehicles. If it is easier now, that's good.

I wasn't the first one to do it this way, as the method was discussed right here on this forum. The "loophole" was used by others too. But again, it doesn't matter to me now as I ordered mine about three years ago and the offer paid.

Maybe the offer was actually different than I thought, different than it said on the offer, different than my dealer thought and that others here thought. I don't know. But it worked. An important part of what I wrote was how to initiate it, by going to the website, giving them the information and doing a build. The rest can be discussed at the appropriate time with the dealer. When I went in to order mine, the dealer was able to simply look me up and see just what I wanted. The connection from the Ford website to my local dealer was real. And at that time, I had already made a deal on what the discount would be at another dealer. I walked in, with a deal already made, a truck built on the website, and ready to order. They beat my other deal and I ordered the truck. At that time, apparently, the dealers had no idea that the shortages and delivery problems were just about to hit. Neither did I. I got it in 13 weeks, but shortly after that, they had a very hard time getting trucks and the lot was nearly empty. Then there was no reason for them to make such good deals.

The way it was working last year was as follows:
1) If you had an active PCO when the order was placed it would get locked in even if it expired before the vehicle was delivered. You had a PCO at the time of order.
2) If you had an active PCO when the vehicle was delivered, even if you didn't when it was ordered. You had an active PCO at the time of delivery.
3) If you didn't have a PCO and ordered a vehicle but then got a PCO but it expired before the truck was delivered (due to production timelines) you were out of luck. You didn't have an active PCO either at the time of order or deliver.

Folks currently on the hunt for a PCO, if you can't find one don't forget about the farm bureau discount (assuming that is still active), it cost me $40 to join for a year and knocked $500 off the truck. Caveat was you needed a membership that was active for 90days if I recall correctly so plan accordingly on joining timeframe, I joined after my truck was ordered but before I took delivery.

Something new regarding factory cash offers. I got my periodic email from Ford with my Vehicle Health Report. It always says everything checks OK but I usually click the link and go to the web site to read the full report, no big deal. This time when I logged in to get the report a form popped up on the screen to apply for a cash offer. This is what it looked like:

I filled out the form just to entertain myself and the offer popped up immediately. Curious if others are able to get this offer when they log into the Ford web site?
