FYI 2022 Updated Production Schedule

Ah, yes, re-reading his post that interpretation makes sense.

What's curious is that on Blue Oval a couple of folks who had been scheduled for July posted being rescheduled to 8/9 and 9/27. Quite a mess.
Almost makes me want to sit on the sidelines until seeing the Super Duty redesign; even then I wouldn't buy a year one new gen vehicle.

However, if I get the '22 now, I would be nearing the end of the 4 year loan, if Ford doesn't make the new gen ugly I can upgrade then and be in year 2 or 3 of the new gen redesign.

Kinda wish I at least knew what the exterior of the redesign would look like. I've been trying to figure out on paper if a V8 powered generator (propower on board) makes sense compared to a separate generator that can easily be worked on and sip less fuel comparatively. Although have to worry about theft of a portable generator.

There's never a good or bad time to buy; if you always keep waiting you will never buy or be happy with anything.

Can someone please summarize exactly what is going on with orders, there seams to be a lot of speculation as to what orders are being pushed back and what orders havent been pushed
if you have an order date already are they delaying all trim levels?

As far as I’m concerned everything is either literally speculation or, given how frequently things change, as good as speculation even if it was good knowledge when first posted (wherever, not necessarily this forum).

Doesn’t mean it isn’t interesting to follow along and try to read the tea-leaves, though.

Add in shipping times to the dealer, and they are easily looking at November/December for delivery

Yeah based on how frequently things are changing I wouldn’t put much weight into anything being said regardless of how official the source is. It’s becoming evident that even Ford is unsure of what they can do at any given moment.

I wanted to get into one of these trucks before major price hikes that are almost sure to happen for 2023. Likely the largest the industry has seen year over year.

But there is a ton to look forward to for 2023. SD redesign, Ram HD redesign, Lightning, Cybertruck. Might be worthwhile to sit on the sidelines and see how this all plays out.

Here is — and correct me where I may be wrong — what we know right now:
  1. Some, but not all, outstanding 2021 Tremor orders are being built and delivered as we speak. / So we know Ford has the supplies and capability to complete and deliver *some* Tremor orders at the moment
  2. Some, but not all, outstanding 2022 Tremor orders have been scheduled to be built in July
  3. Some, but not all, scheduled 2022 orders have been seemingly rescheduled for August or late September in the past few days based on a few reports
  4. Until further notice, Tremor’s that have not been scheduled for production will not be scheduled

As bad as this is: I’ve been trying (not very hard) to buy a new Kubota since March.

My dealer hasn’t wanted to take my order because they’re not expecting supply this year (and seem to be shifting their business model towards renting/leasing what inventory they have rather than selling.)

On the forums, guys who ordered last November were told this week by their dealers that they may get their tractors this November — but that they would come without loaders and the loaders may be another year out!

Kubota has said nothing to customers, and two weeks ago even stopped making any delivery estimates.

Even the most reputable national dealer I know of has begun ghosting on customers.

And another dealer that has been vocal with information/insights on their blog is saying this is just the beginning.

I’ve been keeping my eye on the auctions in CA & OR since the fall and have been seeing fewer and fewer tractors, and more and more of them with a few hundred hours going for more than new prices.

Comparatively, with what we know right now, the Ford situation seems not as dire.

Yeah, part of my thinking on going for the 2021 after seeing the 2022 release was that it might align better for me with a ~2024 trade-in if I like that model.

I had previously been expecting a more substantive update for 2022. Particularly on the interior and convenience features, which is what feels most out of date on these trucks (2022 changes included.)

I couldn’t stand the idea of waiting most of this year or more for a 2022 only to potentially see a modernized Super Duty for 2023.

And I personally like/prefer the new F150 interior and features, FWIW. Indifferent on the exterior evolution. Hoping the new SD goes a similar route.

That has to be unprecedented. Wow.

Start of May I walked into my local (Canadian) dealer that I bought my 2016 f150 & said to my salesman let’s order up a tremor, he asked sales manager & came back to say he would call me in a month to order. Never heard back.
same day called dealer 50minutes away & they had my order done within 30 minutes. Now wait.

Call your dealer and push them to change your order to a Lariat. I believe you can configure a lower end Lariat for about the same price (and I maybe even less IIRC) than a XLT Premium. And I believe it may be possible for dealers to change your order all the way up until scheduling happens (but I will let others confirm as I'm not very sure on this.)
In process of your recommendation, I will update when I know for sure, thanks!

Keep in mind that we now have new information that Lariat’s may not be scheduled for production “until further notice” after all. ?‍?

Better advice may have been: If you need a truck for work or hobby, might be easier to get a new job or hobby for awhile. ?

This is correct, I was informed today that my lariat build was postponed until further notice...

Or be willing to over-pay for either a used truck or one on the lot. Or if you already have a truck, be happy with it for a while. ?

(I’m in the last boat. 12 year old truck is still going strong.)

You may also be one of the lucky ones to get a limited edition 2022 built in July!

Soop: No way Ford scheduling or production would use " may". Ill call a big BS. Not sure what your agenda and don't care.
More importantly members should use factual information before making changes to their orders . Scheduling is updated every Monday on the BO forum by Ice Capades.

Maybe I'm missing something, but pretty sure Soop was referring to this post in regards to Lariat's (and other higher trim levels) being delayed because they have Sync 4: https://www.fordtremor.com/threads/fyi-2022-updated-production-schedule.4072/post-97838

Which refers to this post over on Blue Oval, from none other than Ice Capades themself: https://blueovalforums.com/forums/i...cussion/&page=15&tab=comments#comment-1136197

"The other issue posted recently in the Scheduling Notes is that orders with SYNC 4 are on hold until further notice."

So...not sure what BS is being called out? Ultimately unless there's actual communication from Ford corporate everything is some level of speculation, but if we assume Ice Capades information is factual (best info we have so far, anyways, as indicated by you and others) then nothing to see?
