Full screen carplay? YUP

So I have the ATT Truck wifi, do I also need to have the truck setup on my home wifi? I don't usually park close enough to the garage that it will connect, so if I now need to park closer I'll have to plan for that.

Running that 21136 Rev, 134 on my '22 as well

I am fairly certain the hotspot in truck only works if the truck is turned on.

This is the most amazing upgrade. The 12" screen is nice but the sync 4 leaves alot to be desired on the SD. I was trying to follow this and got a little lost as what is needed. Any chance someone could do a brief bulleted list to what is needed. Im very technical so tech language is appreciated.

1. buy an APIM from a 2021 F150 12" screen model
2. send it to a guy to have software updated(ill give contact information if youre serious about the mod)
3. get your GWM updated(the guy that does the software can help with this also, but at the same time ford is slowly rolling it out to us)
4. install APIM and use forscan to enable the unreal engine, and the climate bar if desired
5. enjoy

now with that said... There is an APIM update thats on the way, as for whats in it its hard to say. I am going to put my SD apim back in and see if I get the upgrade and see whats in it. I think for now unless youre just dying to have this id wait and see what the update brings. If you have access to FDRS you can do the update yourself, I need to order an adapter but its 500$ for the mongoose.

Same with me Bronco. I just made sure mine was connected to my home wifi, and checked for updates. It says I am current. So I made a few tweaks as everyone here suggested. I'll see if this changes over the next week. I'm not interested in buying an F150 APIM for this, but I am hopeful they will just eventually update ours.

as a side note to this thread, someone is loaning me their mongoose cable so I will pay for a subscription to FDRS and update my APIM sometime soon(shooting for friday).

Ok guys this mod is dead, just wait this is coming to the super duty. if you have a good relationship with your service department they can update the GWM and APIM thats in your truck currently. This was a fun experiment but the F150 is no longer needed to accomplish this.

Well that’s exciting Ford is doing such a significant update for our trucks! I was extremely pessimistic about it. Can’t wait to get it!

Thanks it was a fun experiment and I can say I was the first lol I’m still not done trying to get tow navigation working but it’s cold here and I don’t wanna sit in my truck for hours lol

You can just wait it’s coming via OTA no need to visit dealer. I was just saying if you have a dealer that’s a friend you can get it done sooner.

No clue when it will be sent. And I’m sorry, I tried to warn people this was possible that the new update would include these changes. I think I said it in one of my first couple post talking about it.

Okay I was about to go fuck around with forscan today anyways. Not seeing my temps in this cold freaks me out So I'm finally going to add temps above gauges. First time messing with the numbers not plain english so hope I don't brick it...
