Fox ATS 2.0 install

I was getting ready to install mine today but with the bad weather coming I might need to hold out a till next weekend. Looking at the instructions, doesn’t it look like there’s a third spacer on there? You can see the small one on the bottom and the big one on top but it looks like there’s another small one connected to the big one on top in the new instructions.

I did big spacer, stabilizer arm, small spacer, washer, then bolt. As a word of caution, I had to go to AutoZone to rent a pitman arm puller to get the old stabilizer arm off. It was pretty tight.

It does look that way.

Someone mentioned that Fox has an additional spacer available for lifted vehicles that was recently made available by request. Maybe that’s what’s pictured, and is the impetus for updating the instructions?

I installed mine yesterday, set it to 12. I can definitely tell it's stiffer, might back off to 11 and see how that feels.

I noticed a huge difference hitting pot holes or expansion joints. I used to feel it in the steering and had to make corrections, now it holds steady, feels more planted.

Same here. Fox said I would need a larger spacer and a larger bolt with the 1.5” lift I have in the front. I asked him how to get it. didn’t have an answer.

Got mine installed today. Used a pittman puller to remove the one bolt. Installed the new stabilizer with the reservior down, which required loosening the pinch bolt and rotating the clamp 180 degrees. Had the reservoir been positioned “up” there was clearance, but not a ton. In the “down”position, it’s still not the thing lowest to the ground. I have the 6.7. Set the stabilizer to 11 clicks, took a quick test drive, and could notice a difference. I’ll stay with that for now. May try other settings to see what I notice. Initial reaction is that I like the new Fox ATS 2.0.

Can someone with the newer hardware post a picture of the extra bolt and spacer for lifted models? It’s supposed to be included with kits made after 4/24. I Just want to see what I need.

I like it alot, took out the wander and constantly overcorrecting to stay in the lane…my truck is completely stock height

So the long spacer is the new spacer included for people with lifted trucks. I don’t think the instructions are specifying that because it seems to me like everybody’s installing that. Basically if you have a stock truck you should not be installing that longer spacer.

It would seem strange to me that the new instructions show the spacer installed, and point you to figure 1, but notes if you have a lifted truck, you'll need a frame side mount relocation bracket. The way I read it, the spacer is needed on a stock vehicle. Plus they only sent one one long bolt with the spacer. And the instructions don't call out to use the stock bolt.

Assume the instructions they provided are the updated ones like post #5 of this thread? Reading it I would think the supplied hardware goes up to a 2” lift. Beyond that you need the side mount bracket. As someone else posted stock truck with long spacer, stabilizer sits level. Been working like a champ

Unlike other facets of life, that extra inch and a half ain’t gonna mean much. ?

That’s what makes it confusing. I do see some pictures of people only using the smaller spacer which is supposed to be the correct way with no lift. The instructions are not to descriptive.

I remember watching an install video with the older instructions and the guy saved the OEM bolt because he said he needed to reuse it.

Take a pic of your Fox Stabilizer box label; this will show the manufacturing date. E-mail it to Fox requesting the newer installation hardware kit.

Did anyone have issues getting Bolt off the Shock to frame mount? The on on the Tie Rod end came off clean with my Impact gun but i cant get the other to budge Truck is only a week to me old 2022
