If you wait until the factory warranty is about to expire (near 36k miles or 3 years), you risk needing a formal dealer inspection before they will issue the plan. Buying it now while your well within the factory window avoids that red tape and ensures the truck is "auto-approved."Seeking advice... Recently bought a 2024 F350 with 8200 miles. Is the ESP a good purchase now or something to wait for as I get closer to expiration of the factory warranty? At most will drive the truck 10k miles a year. I appreciate any and all recommendations.
The price is also a factor. If you buy now, you'll be locked in before the price increase next week. I purchased mine last February. Two months later, it went up $600. That's 14% higher than the previous year. The year before that it went up 12%.
If I remember correctly, Ford adds a $100 surcharge the moment a vehicle passes 12 months or 12,000 miles from its original in-service date. By buying now, you avoid this "Used Vehicle" penalty.
I recommend @zach@granger. I got the 8 year 125,000 PremiumCARE. Super easy process and great customer service.
If I were you, I'd buy it now.
