Most big box stores don't have extended length smooth shank PH 1 bits, as the full length hex ones are too large for the bore. I got these in bulk to take care of everyone! There's a black bushing pressed onto the bit as well to prevent the drill chuck from scarring up the cap holder.

As weird as this sounds, with all of the gas theft around here, I'd rather have them siphon my gas than punch a hole in my tank. I've seen a lot of tanks get punched/drilled, it's pretty terrible...
