ok, i read through entire thread, and up to speed on design and colors.
im in..now about the aftermarket locking doors, if additional lock cylinders keyed to the caps were availible, id do that. it would simplify things having 1 key fit fuel door, def, and diesel cap. i understand that there are diffrent versions of doors, and understand why you dont want to clutter the process with that,

id like to be able to fit the lock cylinder on my own.. if it works, great.
if not, its a chance ill take but either way it should not affect the caps you are trying to bring to market.
and i do like the design and work youve put in the project and attention to detail.
looking forward to them.

Thank you :) The lock cylinders are a low volume produced part, so that may complicate production to stock extra cylinders in the chance someone has a fuel door. They come keyed as a set from the manufacturer.

What 'may' be possible is to tie the order #s with a code # and if you wanted to order another cylinder in the future for your existing keys, you would contact me and I would have to order it a la carte. I believe the manufacturer charges an additional fee to have such a key registry.

Easiest would be ordering 2 cylinders with 3 keys in bulk like we have planned for production and then see what is possible later and what the key registry fee would cost. Since it could get chaotic quickly.

Just found this thread recently, super interested! Following and actually joined up just so I could post. I’m wondering if you will be able to ship to Canada! I don’t remember seeing a post about it.

Interested as well. Haven't decided one way or the other, but I like having options. Kudos for doing this.
 
I'm loving this so far. Question, though. I notice that the cam lock you chose looks universal. Can it be swapped out with another one? Or come with a no-lock version for me to put my own lock in it?

I don't think that will be too viable of a thing for us to ship kits without locks and in an unassembled state. The caps were designed to work with the geometry of the known camlock. Anything else is a big gamble.

Awesome! I ventured more on your site and found after you mentioned that you ship to Canada. I’m very interested. Excited to see it come out and find out price too. I like the idea of it being keyed separate from others. It looks amazing, great colors to match stock. I put my name on the list! Eagerly awaiting an email!

Some prototypes will be here tomorrow. One might be delayed, but it is too early to tell. FedEx sent it to NC for some reason which is going the wrong way.
