Dodged a bullet yesterday....

Just saw this. I hope you're well my friend. Keep us posted and stay safe!

Omg I’m so glad you all are safe
We had the smoke from the fires near Fredericksburg here along with the high winds kicking up the dust. And I washed my truck three days before. Sending prayers to all
All is good!! THANK YOU!

Glad you and property are safe. The Texas A&M Forestry Wildfire crews are top notch! Prayers for all those that have been effected by recent fires.

Scratching my head, i didnt think these fires was a thing in Texas. That first picture, is that snow in the ground? I didn’t think snow was a Texas thing either. Glad you’re ok Bill.

Between Amarillo and Harlingen then between El Paso and Ft Worth is pretty much flat lands and somewhat bare.
Central Texas is the 'Bat City' headquarters and the 'Hill Country', far North Central (East) Texas is the 'Piney Woods'
We have a lot of flat lands and windy areas, unfortunately plenty of fuel for a prairie fire to take off

Lol, not snow, just bad contrast. Fires are not a regular thing, but we are in a severe drought, that day 40 to 50 mph wind and single digit humidity. We do occasionally get snow! Thank you for your concern!

Plus, hill country has a lot of trees and under brush.

Glad to hear it didn't end up worse! Its one thing to see this sort of thing on the news or internet, but its quite another watching it in real life. Not much anyone can do to stop wind driven fires.
