when was the border ever “secure”? Born and raised part of my life in Galveston/Houston area. Crime was rampant back then as well. Worked offshore in the 80’s. Crime was rampant then too. Just sayin. Im sure it’s increased. Crime has increased where I live now also. Sign of the times I suppose. Sorry state of affairs to be sure.

It’s all a matter of degree, and secure is a relative term. However, all statistics point to the fact that our current border “policies” have promulgated the worst dumpster fire of a border in the history of this nation. Inexcusably pathetic, completely avoidable, and quite intentional.

My Tremor got broken in in 2021 same city during a business trip. Sorry for your troubles fatcat I hope your insurance takes care of you. For some reason most think it’s the cartel that steal trucks there’s also local body shops that order truck parts from the thieves that steal and break into trucks in the big cities in Texas.

And it’ll cost you one heck of a lot more than $6 per person! Truth of the matter is that the world is filled now with lying, cheating, scheming types that want to find any way to make $$$ except through hard, honest work. Of course, that can be said of any time in history, but for whatever reason it appears to be the calling of more people today, and it’s more organized than the random thief of the past. The criminal creep is moving from downtowns into the suburbs now with no end in sight. Noticing that also in our relatively safe location.

They you everywhere and anywhere in the sa and surrounding area! This is their job!! Worthless bastards. They think everyone has a gun on board are they are stealing ur rig. It’s that simple.

When they tried to take our truck a couple years ago in SA, they were targeting my truck in particular. I didn't think much of it, but as we were going to the mall to watch a movie while on vacation, I noticed a car followed us to the mall (over 3 turns), but when we got to the mall, they went past us, so I dismissed it. Thought I was just being paranoid, until we got out of the theater!

Maybe nothing to do with a cartel, however I do know that theft rings usually have several people involved (no brainer) and from what I have been hearing THAT area has a great deal of truck thefts. I live near Tampa and many vehicles get loaded on ships for transport to South America......not gonna defend that cause I live here......

I have reviewed the security systems here and they seem like great products but, my question is, does the Ford Factory security system not disable the truck from being hot wired or remotely started without the key fob?
Can someone elaborate why these truck security systems are not working?

The short story is your key fob can easily be cloned when you leave your truck by a computer with cloning software. In today's environment anything electronic can be manipulated eventually!
