Carpet Delete owners?

I never understood why someone would want to do carpet delete on their truck, but after reading this thread I’m ready to do carpet delete when I order mine.
I ordered carpet delete only because of these chuckleheads here. 🤣 I get more excited about it as time goes by, though.

My Jeep had no carpet. Of course it wasn’t an option on them in 1963.
My 81 Jeep didnt either......but those were Real Jeeps. Mine had a 5 speed 4 Cylinder. 1st Gear was a Granny gear. It would only do 72 topped out, going down hill, but was a beast off-road.

Funny side story since we're talking vinyl floors. When I worked my college summers at the county water company, Armor-All was getting popular. Since our work trucks were vinyl everything, we got into the crew boss's truck and did 3 coats of armor all on the vinyl floor, the bench seat, steering wheel and of course the pedals. After lunch he hopped in his F350 and didn't stop sliding until he hit the passenger door side. He had to get some mud and slather it all over the pedals to get enough traction to drive it. We couldn't stop laughing.

I did it on my 2017 & again on my 2022 tremor. I don't have a picture of the front, but here is the rear...

Fact is, anytime any of us have had carpet, the first thing we do is try to ge the best mats to cover the carpet as much as possible. So, avoid the hassle and delete the carpet completely. Plenty of mat options after that. I’ll never order a vehicle with carpet again (except my Bentley - someday… haha)

Yeah, I see the hump. Does anyone have experience with this hump cover? I saw one other thread where someone mentioned it but didn’t like the fit and also said the colors didn’t match.
Not sure, I don't use it that often but I can't see it fitting well and staying in place. It can't go under because it will defeat the purpose. If it goes over then what holds it and how does it stay put? Not a fan, they should have made a large single piece like the rear. That's a half assed attempt.

As I’ve looked at pictures and tried to find something, I’ve wondered why they don’t have a single piece available. They could even charge a bit more, but without any other real options, whoever makes a good quality one piece option would own the market completely.

I ordered my 22 with carpet delete. It never got built! I picked up a 350 in Nashville which was so very close to what I had ordered. It has carpet. Does anyone know if there is a carpet delete kit, preferably OEM that can be ordered, how much and difficulty of install? Thanks in advance.
Looking at this pic you can sort of figure out what is needed to be removed. Looks like front and rear seats, center console, lower threshold trim, and whatever accessories are in the rear.

Ordered the premium vinyl in my platinum and love it. Way nicer then my 2012 Chevy 2500 work truck flooring.
First spill from the kids made me glad I did it.

I do run nice rubber floor liners over the vinyl floor to protect a wear spot under my heel at the gas pedal. I did not start that way in my 2017, but I developed a large divot floor, so I now do both. It is nice to dump out the dirt with the mats & have no carpet to worry about.

I did carpet on mine for one reason and one reason only -- the color black of vinyl together with the King Ranch interior.

The reason for the purchase of this vehicle was for business purposes mainly.

I wanted a vehicle capable of carrying all of my surveying gear along with being able to meet all the terrain demands my job offers. Long and hard did I considered other pick-up trucks in the smaller versions such as Tacoma, Jeep (Rubicon), Titan, etc... I finally settled on the Tremor due to its capability and all around performance.

Coming from an earlier SD model with the King Ranch trim, I had already exhausted the high model fancy line and was going to satisfy on a XLT or Lariat trim line.

None of those trim models would allow me to pick something that was not a black or white interior.

There is was Red Marsala but only offered in the Star White which had been my first color of choice (by selecting Platty trim, IIRC). Only after seeing the Rapid Red in person did I do away with that paint choice immediately. The Red Marsala also had some black onyx interior so even this was sketchy.

Due the area where I live in and my line of work, dust is the main ingrediant and anything black after a short while would not be black anymore but a dark milk chocolate, reason why I decided on the King Ranch model for its interior.

The interior of a King Ranch definitely hides the dust somewhat and it remains that same color despite.

Now, with the KR interior and the vinyl flooring was just not a color combo I was going to dig and I'd be back in square one so carpet I went.

15-months later and the help of weather tech floor liners, no complaints with having carpet thusly.

Am I opposed to carpet delete? Absolutely not and like most have said, it should be standard on today's vehicles but color matched to the interior would be a bonus.

Do the weather tech come in some other color than black? Otherwise I'm not sure I follow the logic here about the color of the flooring hidden below the mats. I understood on the seat/dust part.
