CAN I PULL A 5TH WHEEL LUXURY TOY HAULER SAFELY WITH MY TREMOR. CAN I ALSO ADD MY CARLI PINTOP 2.5 KIT

Nobody said one word yet on the Carli suspension. I’m hoping for unrealistic dreams.
Should be fine, just be sure to factor air bags into the cost because of squat. Also avoid their front sway bar; you'll want the better sway control of the factory bar.

One of the big reasons I went gas this time was because I wanted the payload benefit. The “can i safely tow” talks can go on and on and on and many times they result in very heated discussions. My best advice is to look at all your numbers ESPECIALLY the gross axle weight numbers on your truck. I think that is really one of the big ones that you don’t want to exceed. When you start adding things to the vehicle, numbers gets eaten up very fast.
And I know this comment will without doubt cause some controversy, but I recommend buying a really nice clean used 5th wheel for your first go around. So many people buy new the first time, thinking it’s exactly what they want, only to realize it’s not. I bought a used 2014 jayco 32bhs TT to see if we liked “camping” and realized we did, but that camper wasn’t right for us. Then we bought a new 2017 lacrosse 329bht (I think) because we though we KNEW for sure this is what we wanted. Well nope. Lol. Then we moved on to the 2017 GD design 350m that was a year old and was as close to new as you can imagine. It still had all the tags on everything. This is our 3rd season with it and we THINK we love it. Hahaha.

Sound advice.

I just looked at Fuzion. They all seem to be 39’ or more. What did you get exactly.
We found something completely different. 12’ garage. 37’, all the bullshit everything else has and the “side patio”. Side patio is the shit.
It’s a bumper pull though. I wanted the extra space in my truck bed.
Stryker STG 3212.
it’s more comparable to the “impact” by Keystone which she liked. The Stryker was available and we made a deal.

Oh and avoid camping world and RV one. You’ll probably not hear a good thing about either place. And the RV salesman will tell you anything to sell you an RV.
My moms down in Tampa area. There’s a place called Lazy Days RV. Someone told me yrs ago that that place rocks. They went to Tampa from LI NY to get theirs there. We saw a few videos and people went there. They have a place to camp on the grounds and tell you to stay a few days before rolling out of there after you make a purchase. We were going to check it out after the summer when I go to Florida to see my mom. That’s why I thought we would order one and come back in the late winter or early Spring yo pick it up. That was one idea. But we are going to see some Momentum’s in NJ. Take a cruise on my Harley one weekend. They don’t have any real RV places on LI. So B lots of sound advice from so many on here. The trick would be if I didn’t want the toy hauler. They have some real nice small 5th wheels. So now it’s what do I want. Go back to searching a travel trailer toy hauler. My brain is fried. I was answering so many private messages gor the medal set ups today. I’m truly spent.
??????????

I can tell you this…. Out here in Las Vegas, we get tons of RVers driving through town on the interstate. Highway patrol pulls over large RVs constantly for weight checks. If you are over your weights, any weights (payload, axles, etc…) you will get thousands of dollars in tickets and they impound your RV until you find something able to tow it away that can do so lawfully.
That would be a nightmare and something I’m not willing to deal with. Therefore I’ll be making sure I am 100% under my weight limits.
just my 2 cents.

Donny, couple things,
1). Grand Design makes awesome products. I am not sure about Keystone. Probably good but I believe a step down in quality. Somebody will argue with me but I am confident in the top notch workmanship of the Grand Design.

My new rig is heavy but the 350 6.7 Tremor made short work out of it. You can definitely feel it back there.

My concern for you brother is the changes with that awesome Carli Kit you plan to instal. Not sure what it will do to the towing and the drive shaft angles............ My Tremor is stock with only yellow sumo bags, rear sway bar and twin fox steering stabilizers. So I feel like I am good, plus I am under the limit, Toy haulers are a new ball game. Lots of weight in the rear but they balance them out very well and it is engineered. You will also have a big bike back there plus lots of gear.
I also agree with the comment on the washer dryer. probably don't need. Unless you are at sites with sewer hook ups. Otherwise it s a tough load on the tanks. Grand Design says right in the manual not to tow with full tanks when ever possible. Always drain them before each trip, and when you leave the park. The load ratings are with empty tanks. That being said the laundry mats suck too . but if something has to give that be easy.

can't wait to see what you come up with.

I don’t know if you saw my post on the campers thread but here are my numbers from the cat scales to give you an idea. The 7440lb one of just me and my four year old and a full tank of gas. The 24480lbs is with my wife, 9 year old twins, the loaded up toy hauler (empty tanks) golf cart in the garage and my German Shepard. I’m also using and Anderson ultimate hitch.

note the drive axle weight with my rig attached. The pullrite hitch I used on my Chevy would add another 200 ish pounds on.

Totally agree. I am also from Las Vegas and I been pulled over taking my RV to the shop (GD 311BHS 5er 13995lb GVWR). Since i also have the F350 7.3l gasser, i was well under my weight.

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I would be cautious of any "hitch weight" spec on a manufacturer's website. My understanding is that most of those #s are dry (unloaded) hitch weights. I spent what felt like forever this past fall looking at floorplan after floorplan, including toyhaulers, and we finally decided on a Grand Design 31MB (midbunk, not a toyhauler). Ultimately decided that based on our needs, a long bed made more sense (of course that ruled out a Tremor :().

Just for information sake, here's my numbers... (2021 F350 6.7 long bed)

Correct. Manufacturer advertised the hitch weight for my RV at 2180.....it was actually 2400lbs on delivery!

I don’t believe they include propane, battery/batteries or a generator.
Grand design actually includes a sheet specific to your vin of the actual weights after the rig is completed which is nice.
