Same with BulletPoint. It has nothing to do with the center speaker.Builtright does for sure. Went with that and very happy. Solid product.
The rubigrid?Just put in a bulletpoint a few minutes ago. Easy and solid. Short of welding a metal bracket in, I dont see how anything could be more stable. So far Im impressed.
Yea the 4 holes were enough. I didnt add the self tapping screws as I thought it was overkill for just a phone or two.The rubigrid?
Wish i had the same experience but i didnt use the adhesive. only drilled 4 holes for the base.
I was a bit sneaky... I got power from a BlueSea fuse box that's in my driver footwell (which is powered by another BlueSea 150 amp fuse box that's ultimately connected to the battery). Regardless of the source of power, I agree that running power behind the dash up to the tray is super simple. I'm glad I did it and love having the clean look of the powered magsafe adapter to snap my phone in place on the dash. I also love that my USB-C port I installed in the tray has a button to turn the power on/off... this way I don't always have to power the magsafe mount, which gives me an easy option to just place my phone there but not charge it (on days that my phone may be really hot in the sun or something...)Had builtright, which was fine, but then swapped it out for Tackform. I don't have stuff installed up there all the time. Tackform was easy to install/uninstall mounts up there as needed.

As far as power goes, I did the same thing as @legmar did - just tapped into the DC outlet in the dash, ran it up to a USB-c power plug drilled through the side of a tray. Super clean and simple.
Glad its working for you. I really like its design and gives plenty of mounting space. ButYea the 4 holes were enough. I didnt add the self tapping screws as I thought it was overkill for just a phone or two.
I run a IPad Mini on both my Rubigrid and my Builtright. Both using the same clamps, arm, and iPad case. The IPad is secure as can be with the BR. No vibration. Too much vibration with the Rubigrid mount. It’s OK on some of our Texas highways that are very well maintained. Head to OK, NM, or some of our county roads and it’s terrible.Glad its working for you. I really like its design and gives plenty of mounting space. But
I mounted a B-size RAM ball base and secured it to the top of the Rubigrid with 3 #12 screws. From here i ran a medium arm parallel with earth towards driver seat and used the mag-mount end to hold my iphone 14.
With everything as tight as i can get it without stripping stuff... my phone still vibrates and its due to the torque of the phone being so far out. If i dont want my phone that far sticking out then i have to go up with it which now impedes my vision.
This is not meant to be a complaint post. Just my experience for others who might be looking to go this direction. Honestly, i struggle to think my experience would be any different using the BuiltRight mount.
I'll be keeping the Rubigrid since I made a 3d printed mount for my XGPS160 but ill be finding a different spot to mount my phone. And a different mount. My phone popped off the mag mount multiple times on the trail even being aired down to 18-20psi.
Sucks b/c the convenience of the mag mount is second to none.
Sounds like you have two. Which one is in your Tremor that has the LP? You've gone quite a few places in it so your statement carries a good amount of weight for those reading this. Also, did you run the support plate on the bottom of the BR?I run a IPad Mini on both my Rubigrid and my Builtright. Both using the same clamps, arm, and iPad case. Yea. We have roads that are great for a shakedown testHead to OK, NM, or some of our county roads and it’s terrible.
Rubigrid is in my work truck and Built Right is in my Tremor. Work truck spends more time in nasty roads and conditions surprisingly though.Sounds like you have two. Thanks for this add. Good info.

If my stuff doesnt rattle by the time i get to the hwy, i'm good
I didn't think there were any dimensional changes to the top dash, but apparently there is? I don't know how much of a change it was, but I have the Rubigrid (Bulletpoint) and there is about 1/2" of top clearance between the bracket and the speaker cover. Perhaps someone with a 23-24 with the builtright can see if the clearence is less with that one. If it is, then maybe the bulletpoint will work as is for the 2025. May just be easier to call both companies and ask, I am sure you are not the first to come across this.Has anyone installed the Builtright dash mount on a 2025? I tried installing it, but there doesn’t seem to be enough clearance to get the speaker cover back on. The mount is already as far forward as it can go.

It wasn’t too difficult. I tapped into a fuse in the passenger footwell. Was pretty easy to snake a power cable up to the rubigrid location.Curious how guys are running power on the 23+ trucks. Not sure if power is readily available like the last gen.
Wasn’t sure if there was an easily accessible switched circuit right under the mounting location - thought guys found one on the 22- trucks. Would be awesome to make a custom harness to avoid splicing factory wiring or running more cable than necessary. I try to avoid fuse taps and splicing whenever possible. It wasn’t too difficult.
