Best Trailer Hitch - Thoughts?

Hello,
Anyone here have thoughts on the best adjustable trailer hitch? By adjustable I mean up and down due to the height of the truck. I am not a trailer hitch expert for if my terms are off sorry.
Several people are posting their 3 inch hitches. Makes sure you get the right size for what your truck has because I'm pretty sure the f250 comes with a 2.5 inch receiver so if you buy a 3 inch you will have to buy a sleeve which is not ideal.

If you have high capacity on a 6.7 f250 it has 3 in but 7.3 are 2.5 but just make sure what hitch you have before buying anything

so i remove it but on the top spot the pintle hook latch will slide all the way in and not be in the way but i just remove it if it going to be a long haul but i just try to keep the hitch together in one piece so i don't loose anything but that the big reason i went gen y i wanted pintle hook and ball and this hitch does both ... i don't own a trailer so i rent alot of different trailers and having both option is the best for me and this hitch has killed a car ... so it has a confirmed kill
They look like great hitches but you have to have your checkbook ready if you want one.

i got mine $250 off on a amazon warehouse deal ... it was $550 for this one i believe ... couldn't pass it up

I should have known I wouldn't get it right. I know mine will have a 2.5 inch so I was on the right track lol.
hahaha its fine ... can't know everything ... but thats why we are here to find the answers to our questions

Did it total her car? Thats is a killer!
yep cracked the engine block and broke the drive side motor mount .... on top of killing the front of the car .... quoted 30k in repairs car as a 2018 only worth 18k

Anyone used a hitch with isolators? Gen Y has one and so does Curt (rebellion).

I'm trying to find a set up that I can pull my 26 foot camper (6500 lb, 515 TW) without using an equalizer or sway control. I needed all of that on the Raptor but hoping to simplify things with the 250.

The isolator doesn't do anything for the tongue weight but is supposed to help sway....

The ones I have now have to be over 10 years old and I never needed anything else until now. I don't know if adjustable ones were even around then. I guess I just have to decide if I will be buying something again in ten years if I don't get the adjustable on seem this time. Thanks for the recommendation.
I’m planning on keeping this truck for a while and I’m not sure what all I might end up towing in that amount of time, so this gives me the option to bumper pull anything and everything from boats to lowboys. The adjustment is fairly easy and while it’s a little heavy and cumbersome, that’s what makes it rock solid and reliable. I only put it in when I tow. The rest of the time it’s sitting on a shelf in my garage.

Are you talking about the Gen Y torsion hitch? I am also interested in that as well but I haven’t seen much info on them. I like the idea but they seem stout but heavy, almost 100 lbs if I recall. There are a couple others out there that use air bags.

Yes Sir - looking at that and the Curt since the Curt is a little more wallet friendly.

I went with the B&W Tow N Stow....Gives me the flexibility to have everything I need in one unit.

Here is my set up, it works for me except for my small aluminum trailer when I need to haul my tractor , could be at least 2 inches more. However on one of my customers driveways ( steep grade) If this was any longer it could drag. Its perfect for all my other heaver trailers, because they have tongue weight that causes the truck to squat and the whole thing levels out.

That is one of the things to consider with the flip hitch system. Its has to hang probably about four inches lower than an old fashioned stinger would.

at least the amount of the ball, I don't really use the larger one on the bottom. My heavy trailer is converted to a pintle. And my enclosed car trailer has a weight distribution hitch ( which I may not need with the F350). Thanks Jking I got more stuff to think about. :p :p :p

At elk camp this year was the first titime have towed anything that wasn't a 2 5/16 inch ball in years. I think I might like to have a set up like yours but with the balls on separate mounts so they don't hang down as much and I can just throw the 2 inch in a toolbox for the really rare time when I might need it. I haven't seen any manufacturers that make that.

Had to edit because it looks like weigh safe does make that. That might be a good option for me.
