Hello,
Anyone here have thoughts on the best adjustable trailer hitch? By adjustable I mean up and down due to the height of the truck. I am not a trailer hitch expert for if my terms are off sorry.

I love my black weigh safe 180.

I would be interested in why people recommend what they do. Some of these are really expensive and I wonder wh at people's actual experiences are with them. I've always just had 2 stingers set up with 2 different size balls and its worked for years for less money. However, I have to buy new ones when my Tremor comes so it may be worth a bigger investment to never need to replace them again. The Bulletproof hitches look so cumbersome to handle. They have to be heavy af.

I always had two different drops with 2 different ball sizes. I tow 3 different trailers. With a sleeve.

So having one nice hitch that is easy to change out with one key and slide it to the drop I need is much nicer. Love the aluminum no rust and stainless balls. Not to mention if compliments the new black Tremor.

I’ve had a weigh safe and BW hitch, BW is my favorite if you live anywhere that gets road salt, the key locks of the weigh safes just don’t last. I would lube them constantly also. But if you don’t get road salt I definitely like the idea of a lock.

Buy once cry once. Now I can tow anything I want with ease. That’s just how I roll I guess.

Unfortunately I live in upstate NY. Lots of salt. But can’t leave anything unlocked. People like to help themselves to the finer things in life if it’s not bolted down.

Lots of great choices just make sure to get enough drop ( with the adjustable ones) I wish mine was two inches longer. ( I know thats what she said ). :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The ones I have now have to be over 10 years old and I never needed anything else until now. I don't know if adjustable ones were even around then. I guess I just have to decide if I will be buying something again in ten years if I don't get the adjustable on seem this time. Thanks for the recommendation.

Do you have the stow and tow or something else from B and W? I usually put it on right before I tow. I kind of like the idea of keeping it on all the time.

I went with gen y hitch rated for overkill 32k lbs

new avatar photo???
yep and cover picture too its part of the new update but yea figures not alot of tremors got a shoe 2 feet off the ground hahaha

Do you move the latch for the pintle hook out of the way when you tow with a ball or does it help hold the trailer tongue on the ball? It must not or it would wear a hole in the coupler?
so i remove it but on the top spot the pintle hook latch will slide all the way in and not be in the way but i just remove it if it going to be a long haul but i just try to keep the hitch together in one piece so i don't loose anything but that the big reason i went gen y i wanted pintle hook and ball and this hitch does both ... i don't own a trailer so i rent alot of different trailers and having both option is the best for me and this hitch has killed a car ... so it has a confirmed kill
