I am guessing you have to take the gill off? How is it staying attached? Pressed in, some type of tape, or another way?

Yes grill needs to come off. I thought I took pics, but cannot find yet.

I mostly followed the steps in this video:

Except for where he shows getting the 2 lower bolts out. On mine I had to use 90deg long handle plies to reach under grill and pull tabs of lower chrome insert out. Then could access the 2 lower bolts.

I’ve found the 23+ cloud rider grill cover, which is attached via clips to the outside of the grill. They are sending me one set, see the pdf attachment. What’s nice is being able to easily install and remove the mesh without taking off the whole grill. The different mesh types are visible above: the pictured samples are in stainless steel. I will be getting the round aperture mesh made out of black aluminum.

I saw a guy use one of these and it cleaned and straightened his fins. It was not a SD, but I assume it would be the same. He had it hooked to a pressure washer. I am not sure if this was the exact one.

It installs from the front, and looks better in person than in photos. Very practical, and each grill is covered. If anyone is interested, I’ll run this past the administrator for a group buy.

The grill openings are too large on my 23 Lariat Tremor. I’ve noticed damage from small gravel crushing the radiator (or condenser) cooling fins. I know someone has looked into this!

Yeah, I noticed last week when I was at the dealer looking around (mine isn’t here yet). I ordered the sport appearance package, and the openings in that grill are ginormous.

My ‘14 Rubicon was getting the crap beat out of the radiator, so I bought mesh inserts to fix the problem. I figure I’ll need something for my truck when it gets here too.

I bought some mesh that goes behind the grill, ended up, I didn’t want to disassemble the front end. If I get tired of the look, I can always take off the gravel guards from the front.

That came out looking fantastic! Way better than the old window screen material and zip ties I was thinking of trying.

I'm now VERY interested in getting these and with bug season more or less over here will set back for a bit in case a group buy happens.

Sorry, Just saw this. I used picture hanging wire & twist tied it through mesh and small holes drilled in lip of grill along the back edge.

That looks great! I would be interested as well. Have you towed yet with the inserts installed? I installed something similar on my last truck, 21 Ram Cummins and it made it run hot towing. I had to pull over mid trip and remove them and the problem was instantly solved.

Have towed while we were having our usual October heat wave. No noticeable effect on temperatures. Grating seems quite open, but will surely not flow as much CFM as the original wide open cosmetic grill.
