Just FYI. Chatting with a buddy that made the engineer pass run up from lake city yesterday with his SxS. He said the last 5 miles were pretty chewed up.

May be typical conditions but those were his words.

Engineer usually is fine, San Juan Co sends bone stock 2500 Chevy's up there all the time

Availability is limited and they expect to sell out for these dates (so book ASAP) — this is what's open for our dates:
  • Full hook-up — $60/night for 2, +$2/night per additional person — 8 available
  • Water & electric — $54/night for 2, +$2/night per additional person — 5 available

Linens are provided: 6 towels, 6 washcloths, 2 hand towels, 2 dishrags, 2 dishtowels. Maid service and linen/towel exchange are weekly only, so plan accordingly on a 4-night stay. Laundry is on site.
That's 17 total, and only one cabin. If you want a hard roof over your head, that cabin will go first.

Have this ready when you call:
  • Your dates
  • Site type you want
  • Trailer length — they match you to a site by size, so know your number before you dial
Payment and deposit
  • Visa/Mastercard only for the deposit
  • Two-night non-refundable deposit, no exceptions
  • Balance for the entire reserved stay is due at arrival, no refunds for early departure
  • They prefer cash or check at check-in, but take Visa/MC
  • If you end up unable to attend, your deposit can be transferred to someone else in the group who takes over the booking
Rules worth knowing before you book
  • OHV trailers longer than 18 ft can no longer be accommodated, and there are limits on the number of OHVs per site or cabin. Everything has to fit on your site or in your cabin driveway. Call ahead if this is a problem for you.
  • Max 2 vehicles and 5 people per RV site
  • One tent per tent site. No tents on RV sites or in cabin areas.
  • OHVs can't be ridden around the campground — in and out only
  • Check-in 2:00 p.m. Check-out 10:00 a.m. for cabins, 12:00 p.m. for sites.
  • Let them know if you'll arrive after 7:00 p.m. No arrivals after 10:00 p.m.
  • Pets are fine on leash, never unattended
  • 5 mph, strictly enforced
  • Free WiFi is at the lodge only — not at your site or cabin
On site

Private lakes for fishing — no state license needed, but there's a $10/day fee. No swimming or watercraft. There's a general store, laundry, and they rent Jeeps by the half or full day if anyone has a guest who wants to tag along without putting their truck on the pass.

  • They don't open 2027 reservations until January 4, 2027

  • 6 of their cabins have no bathroom and share a bathhouse
  • The Treehouse has a kitchenette and private bath
  • The Cottage has 2 bedrooms, full bath, kitchen, and a patio
Post up in this thread once you've got a reservation so we can keep a running count.
