2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Picked up my 2024 F250 7.3 King Ranch Tremor 01 Dec 2023 (ordered it on 05 Aug). Love it. Handles completely different than my 2016 6.7 Powerstroke.
--Issue: It did NOT have the power running boards I ordered. My sales guy, who is a superstar (Ray Johnson, Autonation Ford Margate FL) dug into it and found, "Running boards are not compatible with Java Leather interior." What? In the system build or anywhere else it doesn't mention that.
My intuition says Ford ran out of Powersteps so they slapped on the standard running boards so they could ship the truck out and get thier money.
I am 6'4" tall and it is a BIG step to get into the truck with the standard running boards. Obviously the lovely Mrs. D, at 5'4" tall, is not pleased with my new truck.
Ford gave me a $1000 rebate, but what I really want is for them to replace the running boards when they are available.
Anyone else have this issue?

Compare your window sticker and last build sheet for which style of running boards were ordered. I agree with @Five0three and @RocTremor that the salesperson didn't add the power running boards back when the Tremor package was added.

Good Call. As an aside, I'm not a huge fan of the power steps, they trap snow/salt, and it doesn't get rinsed out going through the car wash and leads to rot. I learned this the hard way with my expedition. Luckily i caught it in time to repair, dealer said they see trades all the time with the rockers rotted right through in 2-3 years because of it. Not to mention the maintenance/stuck boards annoyance.

Could you open them up from the inside when you go through the car wash?

Don't rely on the emails from Ford, you will be disappointed. Use Ford Chat or your dealer for any information. If a VIN is available, they will give it to you. With your order number and VIN, you can track progress on shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking

From my Bronco experience the first email with the VIn/build week is pretty reliable. They were always on Thursdays.

Could you open them up from the inside when you go through the car wash?

There’s a setting where you can leave them down or put them on automatic.

Careful with doing that, my friend put his down goong through one and it caught on equipment or and ruined both of his.

Yeah, I would recommend against it as well. But you can do it if need be.

My 2024 arrived yesterday at the dealer. I ordered it on 7-24, scheduled for 11-13, production started 11-16, built on 11-26, shipped on 12-1, and arrived yesterday at dealer 12-06.
Lariat Ultimate / Tremor package, 7.3L engine, BAP package, Baja leather interior, spray in bed liner, power side steps, and retractable bed cover.
I haven’t gone yet to pick up. It appears that I didn’t get the proper headlights? These are not the black out LED. This might be a deal breaker for me. I want those dark housing headlights!

That sucks!! Now that you mention it, I think I remember seeing someone wrap the perimeter of their headlights with black vinyl. Thanks for clearing this up…. I knew I better ask you guys first before I asked my sales rep lol

Yes sir. Wrapping the outside chrome of the headlights seem to make a huge difference. I’ve seen plenty of photos of it done. Just have not ran across one in person. I plan on doing it as well.

No, just call the trace line. 1 877 shipcsx... 2-1-3 when prompted.

The Cowboy package doesn't even get you the LED taillights anymore. Platty and Limited only.

Now I have a question that I sent to both dealerships in both states - AZ and CO…both trucks are scheduled with Off-Road Running Boards – Textured Matte Finish but I actually ordered deployable running boards as a 0$ option…they both tell me that this can be fixed or changed at dealership…is that true or am I just screwed on the one in production?
