2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Is it just me or have I been noticing the past couple of weeks or so that more people have been seemingly getting their trucks into production a little earlier than the scheduled week? Not saying it's happening, but i've seen a small uptick it seems. *shrugs shoulders*

mine went into production on the 14th, scheduled for week of 18th. Curious to see what day it actually gets built. Production line seems to be rolling pretty good. Shipping side of things is where there are inconsistencies, some are instant some are still having delays

Yeah I noticed that as well. The ones having the delays seem to be associated with the module update. I have a friend who drove by the Kentucky Speedway about a week and a half ago and posted a reel on Facebook. Full of SD's which i'm guessing was the overflow for the module issue. For what it's worth though, I was south of Seymour IN last Friday and saw 4 SD's on a truck heading north on 65.

the part that I dont understand (like a lot of this whole ordering process ha) is what/why their priorities are. You would think the ones that have sitting would ship first but certainly doesnt appear to be the case

haha. I'd say that's the million dollar question at this point. I've oftentimes scratched my head at that one too!

For sure it has. And people ordering very recently getting built and shipped out right away.

It's easier to drive them off the line to the railcar than to go grab one from the storage lots. They won't back up the production line, so those who were delayed have to wait even longer.

I hate that this logic makes sense.
I work in heavy manufacturing and when things were crazy lead times during the pandemic it was the same situation. For instance some of our stuff was 60 week lead times, a few weeks later it would be 30. That doesn't mean the stuff that was ordered 2 weeks prior shrunk down to 28 or even 30 week. It's a ridiculous situation but that's how it works in my industry.

My neighbor has both Raptor and Tremor orders in. He noted the same thing to me last week although it sounds like a real anomaly on the Raptor side of things.

It does appear trucks coming off the line are shipping first rather than anything that has been sitting in lots.

Finally got the shipped email. Says 4/9 to 4/22 delivery date. Any way to track from this point?

It honestly doesn't make sense. If you're backed up, you hire temporary labor to get the back logged trucks gone. It only makes sense when you're dealing with unions.
It’s also rail car space and ground transport. They probably sat idle for several weeks and now have double the work. They can only get so many rail cars in there, but they should hire extra trucks now that the weather is getting better. The unions control shipping too.

Oh I know, they control every aspect. Ditch the unions and you can run those vehicles out in quick time.

When did you guys see your trucks move from scheduled to in production? I could have sworn it started moving to "In Production" the week before as they gathered parts and started making the body. Right now mine is scheduled for next week and hoping the window sticker posts soon as well.

My truck is still not en route to Iowa (Granger). Last week they told me 18th-22nd. Now it is showing 22nd to 25th for the arrival.

I was hoping to fly straight to Iowa from my business trip to New Jersey and save myself time and money, but it looks like the earliest for me to fly out is next week and pick it up Wednesday - all assuming it really ships.

Come on, Ford. Why is this so difficult?

7 non and working days for me. Basically spot on a week before.

I know I sound like a broken record on this one but Ford could definitely do better with order tracking and deliveries overall. BMW just does this so much better. You can choose to just go pick it up from the factory and not wait for shipping and they just added a feature to their app to track your build status as well. It's not that hard. The digital key and comfort access is amazing too. You don't even need a key fob. Your phone and watch can unlock/lock the car based upon proximity and even start and drive. You can even loan your car to someone by sending them an invite to their phone.

Mine was scheduled for this week (3/18). Sticker was made available and moved to In Production on Friday (3/15).
