2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Still waiting. Truck shows in production 2/13. I’m a bit finicky on how it’s gonna roll. At time of order dealer agreed to honor msrp. Said if I took off the winch he would install upon arrival it at the same price. They emailed me asking to pay for the winch to order it and gave me a final est. I add that to window msrp n that’s over the msrp w/winch on build. Hope that verbal doesn’t fall through.

Asked on towing specs. Does this sound right for F250 Platiinum Tremor
15,000 lbs conventional,
19,000 lbs 5th wheel, and
20,000 lbs gooseneck

Did you ask ford live chat? The told me my eta of march 13th but can't control the rail. I'm showing in production as of the the 8th, then a date on the dot showing the 17th for in production. If you don't have a date, then it's just getting ready and not on the line. I'm sure my truck would be done if I didn't get a factory spray in liner.

Mine was originally scheduled for the week of march 4th. 2 weeks later I got that it would be the week moved to Feb 26th. Last Wednesday the dot started to show in production. Wednesday evening I could see my window sticker.

Anyone order in the past few months with a Priority Code 19 and have gotten into production? Placed order from local dealer and originally he had the order with a Priority Code 3. Once I asked him what the X-plan price was he sent me a new order with the plan price on there but he changed the Priority Code to 19. From a YouTube video I watched, the salesman was talking about the order process and said their dealership places orders ranging from a priority 3 to 19 and that they would use the faster orders (3-10) for previous customers that maybe ordered the previous year and truck was never built. New customers would get the 11-19 priority. There's at least one other dealer near me that said they accept X-plan so I might go see them and place an order as well if they can get me a higher priority.

The dealer allocation is a larger factor than the priority code. The 3 code puts you in front of other customers at that dealer.

I ordered on 12/4 and picked up my tremor on 2/15. I did order a 7.3 xlt which doesn’t have many constraints.

I placed my order 1/4/24 with priority code 19. X-Plan as well.

F250 Lariat Ultimate Tremor BAP 6.7 HO and some extras.

I have a build week of 3/25/24 which I received a month after placing the order

I placed my order on Jan 2nd with a Priority 19, got an order confirmation on Jan 3rd with a Scheduled Week of Feb 26th. Mine changed to In Production on Feb 22nd with no date as of yet and got the sticker that evening. Waiting to see when date appears then Built date appears, hopefully next week.

Mine is an oxford white Lariat Ultimate Tremor with BAP, roof clearance lights, max recline seats, moonroof, pro power onboard and power running boards (yes, we added them back after Tremor).

I had priority 19. Got scheduled 6 days after ordering. There's a lot of things about this process that doesn't make sense

Well we are all keyboard warrior-ing and nobody fully understands it except Ford and even then it’s probably still a small enclave that have all of the info on the algorithm. Based upon what I’ve experienced, read and simply my opinion … it comes down to this sort of in order

1. Does you dealer have an allocation to build ANY Super Duty.
2. Look at the queue of unscheduled orders at that dealer.
4. Do they have the parts to build said vehicle(s) in queue.
5. If so, pull one out of the queue based upon lowest priority.
6. If 2 priorities match, pick the oldest order.
7. Rinse and repeat until dealer allocations are exhausted.

Items 1 and 6 are probably what’s causing all the angst because dealers don’t readily disclose those to buyers. Many just put them all in as priority 19. It’s also entirely possible lines 4 and 5 are reversed.

Plus you add in the constraints which mean less available and not zero availability for each part and how does that change line 4? Who knows.

Edit - and apparently I need to finish my coffee because I forgot 3 🤣

Yes it’s all very confusing.

My order is virtually the same as one of my dealer’s stock order. The stock order is in production, my custom order still doesn’t even have a scheduled build date…
This is what prompted me to put a deposit on another truck at a high volume dealer with a scheduled build date…
My local dealer FWIW has been less than helpful through the entire process

The root cause of the problem is ford “allocates” vehicles to dealers. If ford would just build what’s ordered in chronological order it would clear up timelines. Another roadblock is ford’s ability to forecast what customers are going to order. Most of the time when you see “constraint” ford missed the forecast. Currently XLT 7.3s are easy to get scheduled while higher trims are more difficult. After 4 years of building tremors you would think the marketing group would adjust volumes.

ordered 2/15
scheduled on 2/22 for 4/8
today I noticed build date was moved up to 3/18
base lariat sport with 7.3 and quite a few small options.
small dealer, priority code 19.

summary: not much point in trying to make it all make sense. if your dealer has allocations and ford has what you need to get built apparently it goes fast. For reference my dealer has 8+ KR and above super duties still not scheduled after many months.

Am I missing where the window sticker is on order tracker? I never have been able to find it. Says its available but never a button to click on. Also had a hard time with the ford chat button showing up as well. Truck was produced on 2-12-24 and moved offsite for storage for some reason
