2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Called Ford Marketing for first time today. Found out I have 10 offers from rate to cash. Sent certificate code to my dealer to get the details. All expire 4/2. Will post back once I see what they are specifically.
Everyone waiting for their truck should call if you haven't already.
What did you specifically ask for when contacting marketing? What offers do I have? What incentives do I have? What rebates do I have? Gonna be hard for me anyway - paying cash…

It’s definitely open. Mine was scheduled for production this week and just updated to “Built” on 12/19. Now it is awaiting shipment
Finally my truck arrived at the dealership on 01/09/24. After winch install I took delivery yesterday. They still owe me the wireless remote for the winch, but other than that all’s good.

Congrats on the new Rig..
Already called Warn about that. No longer include the wireless remote.. I kept the one outta my 21' and works like a champ.

Placed a deposit on a stock order at another out of state dealer today. Build date scheduled for 2/12. Identical order to mine other than this new build has HO 6.7
This is for a non-tremor KR

I couldn’t keep waiting in the dark for my order at the local dealer. Calling tomorrow to cancel my order—which I suspect they will keep in the system. Win/win I guess.

I have done no reading on it yet. I know when we moved to CA it had to be done in short order (we didn’t as we still had several month on the old tags - yes, we did not follow the rules). That being the same case for new cars from out of state sort of worries me with that timing requirement. In state purchases get more time. I was planning on taking a week to drive back by meandering across the Midwest a bit on the way home but maybe not now.
I just read something that indicated 20 days and I think the time starts when you enter California. So you might have some time.

Also, I weighed the truck at a Cat scale today and it was about 7500 lbs with my fat a**, my wife, some tools, and half a tank of gas in it, so weight shouldn’t be a problem if you got a gas engine. Diesel will probably be cutting it close to 8000 lbs.

Good luck and enjoy the drive back. The truck is awesome. Did a little off roading over the weekend. Lots of fun.

I’m a 1/29 build week as well. How did you find out the build date?
Build week of 1/29 here too. Do you have a telephone #?

If there is big finance rebates available or anything requiring you to finance, why in the world would you not finance it and take the free money?

I called. Build date is 2/3. Hopefully I see it in 6-7 weeks

Free money if it's 0% interest or you pay it off immediately. If you wait for the 3-4 payments they try to force you into so the dealer gets their kickback, it eats up that free money fast with interest.

Ordered 11/1/22.

Well, my truck was taken off the rail car two days ago and Ford once again pushed eta delivery dates back to 1/23-2/5. It's almost impressive how long they manage to drag out the shipping process. I could have walked to Kentucky and back by now.

Ford has no prepayment penalty ever. They tell you that you have to pay on it, but nothing required.

I always will take dealer rebates and then refinance the next day.

After the strike, shipping was pretty quick as it provided time for the rails and delivery carriers time to catch up on everything. Now KTP is rolling hard with 1700 super duty’s a day and the vehicle haulers are busy. They can’t get everything delivered in a day.

Well I'm officially between trucks. Hated to see it go, but the new one should be here next week.

Yes, agreed. Just doesn’t make the dealer happy because they usually get charged back on the incentive on the backend and they know who it was. Depends on your relationship with your dealer, if any and if you want to burn bridges.

Yep, not my problem… no prepayment penalty means no prepayment penalty 😂
A dealer will burn the bridge faster than you will. No reason to be loyal.

Here is to you Mr Thursday e-mail watcher guy! May you get that coveted notice of a scheduled build date for your new truck! Don’t give up early in the day as they go out all day long…
